A lot of stuff on JNC started life on Japanese sites, but all of it actually comes from published works.

The Japanese have an entire industry of such sites. For English, the number is much smaller. A Google search comes up with a few, some of which are shutting down in the near future. We do not seem to have the same way of doing things in the US that they have in Japan.
