I first tried opening it on my phone and thought something was wrong since I wasn't using the app. When it looked weird on my desktop too I realized what had happened. Considering when I'm using my phone I usually use the app this redesign is utterly pointless. Not only do I miss the today's updates section, like others have pointed out the heading is too big and looks awkward. The section that told us about the promotions such as current sales is also gone. I don't know if that is because there is nothing going on right now or another flaw.

The homepage is pretty unusable on desktop. Please consider a responsive design that works for various viewports. Even if the designers want a very opinionated design at smaller viewports, this is doable with media queries and modern css techniques like flexbox.

Confusing. I generally gloss over looking at the location of the Calendar now because the white above the dark doesn't catch the eye as easy.

Can you just revert to the old site? Somehow this redesign keeps getting worse.

                • Why is the only differentiator between manga and novels a very slightly differently shaped icon?

                • Why is there no easy way to immediately show only one or the other?

                • Why can't I quickly buy a book when I click on it in the "new" section, which I now have to scroll three screens down for?

                • Why have you decided that everything needs to take 100% of the available horizontal screen space? I get that it theoretically works better on mobile, but it's obnoxious as hell on desktop.

The worst part is that this is only the home page. So far. I expect that at some point the rest of the site will be similarly redesigned, and god help anyone that wants to use basic fundamental website features when that happens.

The redesigned calendar widget on the home page behaves worse than the old one where I live. I live in a timezone that has most releases at +/- 6 hours around midnight. The old one didn't care about the date rolling over, it just displayed the set amount of recent and upcoming releases.
But with this new one, when it passes midnight, it yeets the previous releases into the ether and shows the next two full days instead. So if I want to go check up on a part release that happened at 22:00 but it's past midnight, I need to go to the calendar page to find it.

Then there's it being slow to appear, but maybe the previous one was also slow and it was masked by it being ready by the time you scrolled down. The new one also populates the url bar with a "?tz=" variable, but that's an aesthetic quibble. Mobile browsers tend to hide the

Let them be my legacy to the galaxy I conquered. And my final gift to the species I failed.
