[New Life+]’s Anime's Protagonist, Novel Creator Cause Controversy in China

@myskaros
The problem is that the Manga and LN are done by different companies and just because Kadokawa are happy that enough time has passed that does not necessarily mean that Hobby Japan will ever agree to restart this and even if they do we then have to get Sam and J Novel to decide its worth the risk to keep translating.It's such a shame that this all happened, and it is a move in the right direction to get the series back up and running but I'm not going to be getting exited over news like this.

@catstorm All right, you go be pessimistic in the corner then.
I seriously doubt Kadokawa did this without consulting with the license holder of the series that the manga is adapted from; I can't see this as "a completely unrelated happening that just coincidentally shares the title, characters, and story as this other thing."

Need the novel back!!!

Posted this in the other New Life thread, but HJ also has New Life + in their banner image for the HJ Bunko Net Novel Grand Prize Award.

Again, I don't know how old that web page is, but you figure a banner wouldn't be that hard to replace if they wanted to. They also still have the novels up on Bookwalker JP.

@terrence as a counter though: I was just in shosen book tower in akihabara and all traces of NL+ were still gone.

@myskaros Thank you for letting us know that the manga is restarting, that is really good news.
The manga restarting may be testing the waters to see if things have calmed down. If it goes well and the there doesn't seem to be a big PR hit for Kadokawa then it would be a good sign to the rest of us that the books may be restarting "soon".
If Sam does know anything he probably will share it with us as soon as he can. I doubt he would want to do anything that could breach the trust Hobby Japan has placed in him.
