<![CDATA[Mirai is up for an Oscar from the Academy Awards and a Golden Globe in the Animation Category! (Updated 1/22/19)]]>I went to see this one the other night. It's a story about family, and the bonds you form consciously and unconsciously between the past, the present, and the future.

A very true to life tale that I think resonates strongly with parents and grandparents.

I think it is poetic that (I think) Stan Lee's last cameo is in the film that won the Oscar and in in the franchise he created.

I liked but didn’t love it, but am still happy that something that worked so hard to break new ground won.

This is just wrong.

I see some kids/family American animation that doesn't have much of a message, just made for one family night and some other Drama anime movie.

And it just feels like they ain't made for the same audience or shouldn't be competing for the same award...
