Request Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest physical release
-
What i wanted to request is a physical release of Arifureta. This is one of the web novels I've been hoping for a year now to be released for people of the west in physical form. I'm not all for digital and prefer physical would be nice for the option to be there. I think you guys have a deal for physical copies with seven seas right? I'm requesting Arifureta im sure it'll become popular enough to be worth the cost this year!

This is just me thinking out loud but I would guess it's more of a wait and see deal. Not an exclusive deal to print whatever J-Novel translates (I wish it was I need a physical copy of Nee-chan wa Chuunibyou, amongst many other novels from here)
Seven seas waits and sees what the digital sales are like and if the digital sales are high they print it, if they are low they won't take the risk.
That being said if people don't pick up the digital edition, that wouldn't be much of an incentive for seven seas to print it.
Even with that all said nothing against Seven Seas but I want the light novels on my shelf from J-Novel Club to have J-Novel Club on the spin, and only J-Novel Club. In the mean time if a mutually beneficial partnership is what it takes...I will quietly accept it and support it.

@Rahul-Balaggan We'll have J-Novel Club on the back at least for Grimgar and Occultic.
I don't think we're spine-worthy just yet.

For the first time I am going to have to disagree with you Sam, as a consumer of officially translated Japanese media for close to 2 decades, it is my opinion that J-Novel Club is MORE then spin worthy!
-
@Sam-Pinansky Don't sell yourself short. J-NC is already my favorite publisher for English published Light Novels.
-
@Sam-Pinansky I'm willing to buy grimgar physical copy im more then interested in that. Also i will be sure to buy Arifureta digital release once it come (may isn't it?) I don't mind double dipping until you guys consider yourself spine-worthy.

Publisher: So, you think you're spine-worthy?
J-Novel Club: Yes, I think I'm spine-worthy. I think I'm very spine-worthy.
Publisher: Run down your case for me again...?
J-Novel Club: Well, we've published several volumes, we obviously have good translations. I own a very profitable electronic-book distributing firm. I tweet well. I exercise - good judgement in licensing. Blood-related little sisters? - immaculate. And if I can speak frankly, I'm actually quite good at this.
Publisher: You going to do something about your apps?
J-Novel Club: Yeah, I told you...I'm going to fix my apps.
Publisher: And the typos in your epubs?
J-Novel Club: QA'ed them this morning.
Publisher: The grammar, the spelling, everything got cleaned?
J-Novel Club: Everything, yeah. They're spotless.
Publisher: Alright, let's go. <They head for the printing press.> -
@Sam-Pinansky Guess that answers my question XD. Thanks for the quick replies Sam much appreciated! I'll definitely be one of your customers!
