Nice Things status: can not be had.

Google drive folder (Android builds, self-signed Windows builds, both old and new).
Windows Store link.

Long story short, Windows Phone's browsers don't support the web reader so there's no way to read JNC prepubs. Well, there is now, <s>but the app is not really finished and I won't have time to work on it for a while.</s> <s>2018 edit: the app is Officially Good Now.</s> <s>2019 edit: development is kinda dead but the app is still pretty good</s>. 2020 edit: still dead.

It totally works and you can check it by installing a package from google drive or from Windows Store (available only through the link on top—lack of in-app explanations about prepub system and such makes it newcomer-unfriendly). Works on Android 5.0+, WinPhone 8 and Windows 10 (UWP).

Features:

Novel prepub reader with vertical scrolling layout and horizontal paged layout and a bit of customization (Inverted colors, font size, margins, full screen).

Somewhat unstable manga reader.

Some basic TTS.

Progress tracking integrated with JNC's. App will reopen at the same position if you restart it so even if you closed the app it takes only one click and a few (around 5 on android and 1 or 2 on windows) seconds to resume reading.

Fast. As fast as framework allowed, anyway. Startup may be a bit slow on android but the rest is pretty smooth and responsive. Four layers of caching etc.

Since things are heavily cached anyway offline reading also works if you opened the part sometime before (won't work if you opened it more than a few days ago because cache gets cleaned up).

Known Issues:

Paged reader and manga reader aren't very stable atm.

(Windows) Image downscaling is pretty poor.

(Android) Full screen supposed to be limited to reader but it happens everywhere.

Parts/chapters without volume won't show up anywhere. I blame JNC.

It's pretty hard to make a corrupt file nowadays. However, uploading wrong (unsigned) is trivial and it's not even the first time I made this mistake.

I uploaded a proper package (RokujoumaReader.RokujoumaReader_signed.apk) to the same folder and made sure it actually installs (I don't always do that because I normally install to my devices from dev tools instead).

Right now top few are ordered by publication date, bottom — by reading date. It may or may not change in the future.

Individual part's percentage indicator in the list will change properly right away, but it won't switch to a newer part or change the position in the list unless you reload/restart app

Manga may show as last page of last read chapter instead of 0th page of a newer chapter because manga progress is stored in a dumb way

You can now pick how long to stay logged in (between 1 and 365 days)

Support for <h4> tag in prepub reader, slightly better <img> url parsing

Android: fixed a bug that resulted in a too few columns on novel/manga list page

Horizontal paged reader: fixed an old regression that caused pages and images to shrink vertically as long as text fits

I don't remember the specifics but that probably wasn't an issue in my use case (logged in and with "use alternative API" toggled on). I also thought it was something I introduced after 0.2.4 (not in public builds). Or maybe some new metadata from JNC broke old versions — this happens sometimes and using alternative API may help because I can just update things on server side.

Anyway, I fixed that or a similar problem few weeks ago but encountered some other problems with building. I'll try to make a new one in a few hours or sometime this weekend if it won't go that well.

I uploaded a couple of 0.2.2b builds on google drive in case you want to experiment with that: _Plain.apk is built with newest tools and libraries, _VS17_SDK26_Forms34.apk is built with older MSBuild, targets older android SDK and uses older Xamarin.Forms.
Wasn't the UI for this app dark before? Can it be optional, like matching the dark mode switch? I like dark all the things

Edit: I took a look at your code, congratulations on the unmixing! I didn't think anyone would be motivated enough to take that approach

Added manga support with <s>both</s>two available image resolutions (x1280 and x2048). It has zoom but I don't have much good things to say about that zoom. Progress tracking supposedly works too.

Since manga reader needed a zoom button (for devices where you can't pinch-zoom) I added a menu in paged reader. Some buttons don't even work, though.

Dropped Windows Phone support

Volume buttons on android can be used for page flipping (and you can't disable that). Z/A keys on windows (will change later).

Known issues:

Switching from x1280 to x2560 image quality may not work right away (will only be partially rendered), reopening chapter helps. Sometimes canvas will not be properly sized and only a small square in the corner would get rendered.

There really is a lot of bad things about that zoom

Page flipping animations don't really look nice if you're zoomed in

Manga reader is totally going to break like next week

And check the log (or just click on volume, pop-up will be transparent if what I think would fail did fail).
