The biggest offender is the Beast King, who is presented as an a-hole to Fran and who scares and almost kills her, THEN has a 180-degree change of personality and suddenly he's one of the good guys in Volume Six? Personally, I hate it.
I like Fran as a character, but I don't in any way identify with her personality. Must be why I don't understand her and find her frustrating at times.

I'll fight if I have too, but I have NEVER found it enjoyable, unlike Fran who loves to fight. I just don't understand people who get a thrill from it, I just feel sick, angry, and cold inside. Sparing is fun but a real fight? I hate it.

In fact, last time I checked (a couple of days ago, after buying volume 11), they still didn't show the date on their website. Only realised it was out after checking on Amazon after seeing someone mentioning it elsewhere.

So I sure hope it continues. :-)

I missed the release of vol 11 totally, and thought we hadn't had anything since ten. More caught up... and no idea how I missed it!

Teacher points out how weird she is in his monologue every so often. As we learned in volumes 9/10/11 though, it appears to be a common personality trait among the beastfolk. At least that's how the author is presenting it.

As for the Beast King... the explanation I remember is that he was never a bad guy to begin with. There were a lot of nasty rumors about him that apparently weren't true, and she had heard most of them already before she first met him. So his apparent "let's tease her a little bit" on their first meeting was completely taken as hostile intent because of her pre-existing beliefs about him based on the rumors.
