Demon Noble Girl ~Story of a Careless Demon~
-
@Lily-Garden That's really relieving to hear, here's hoping.
-
I'm not sure where the confusion started, but this series is published by Kodansha, not Kadokawa :X
-
@myskaros ….well here’s hoping that you guys get it anyway
-
@myskaros Ah... sorry, i just saw it on the OP and felt all hope drained away. Thanks! hope is back on the menu (honestly, acquiring this series could be a gateway to the HaruNoHi's extended universe).
-
@bedwetter_alice Well, that's another point of confusion for me; JNC has licensed tons of books from Kadokawa, around 40 different series? https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/1703/english-licenses-sorted-by-jp-publisher
-
I'm raising this topic from the dead because I think it'd be a nice licensing suggestion for J-Novel.
I read the manga and it's quite good.
-
The web novel was quite interesting, I would like to read the light novel too.
-
Wasn‘t this the web novel with the cute golden demon kitty? If so, upvote!
-
Quite enjoyed the web novel some time ago, would love to read the light novel too.
Btw, volume 3 and 4 are out:
-
Yes, yes, yes, please!!! Read the web novel and it‘s so exiting (though the manga is utter crap in my eyes). Give me the light novel NOW!
-
Ohhh this is by the same author who made everyone's favourite little murder hobo in otome survival. I would definitely pick this up or anything else by them.
-
I like the novel, but the manga is total trash.
-
@Seandrake Author of the littlest murder hobo? I’d give it a try.
-
Throwing my vote on the pile. this story is SO GOOD! I read the web novel recently and it was some of the most fun I've had reading a story. it has so many twists and turns throughout, most of them unexpected. you can tell the author was having a ton of fun while writing it.
please please pick this up!!recommendation for readers : try to go in as blind as possible. this is one of those books where spoilers really hurt the experience.

I accidentally made a new suggestion, not knowing that a thread already existed. Just putting my notes here
Alternate Titles: Akuma Koujo, 悪魔公女
Author: Harunohi Biyori (The Otome Heroine's Fight for Survival)
Artist: Umiu Geso
Publisher: Kodansha (K Lanove)
Volumes: 5 (most recent Dec. 2024)
Manga: Yes (already completed with 3 volumes)Synopsis: She had a dream: the world was brimming with light. Family. School. Friends. Trains. Buses. Movies. Books. In that world of light, she grew into adulthood… and at the very end, in a white room, she fell into darkness. She awoke from the dream to find that she had become a demon. In the demon world, she lived a carefree life until she encountered a powerful being.
After such a long time spent living as a demon, before she knew it, spreading in her heart was a yearning for that world of light. She plunged herself into a summoning magic circle that had appeared. Then… when she opened her eyes once again, she had become a human baby.
She was in the Holy Kingdom. She felt fearful: while she was indeed a demon, she only had the strength of a baby. Her being a demon, if discovered, would be terrible. Was she a human or a demon? Would she be able to survive from here on out?
Comments: This was suggested on the J Novel Club discord by Lyn, and while I did suggest that he post it here I just decided to put it in since I had some spare time. (Turns out we were already late to the party lmao)
Obviously, if you’re a fan of Otome Heroine you’ll probably have a good time here - from what I can tell, the heroine is indeed also a cute little murderer. The manga is a bit more contentious - apparently it just skips the first part of the web novel to get into the meat and potatoes of the plot - but it also looks interesting too.

Three days after I post this, Seven Seas picks it up.
