-

There's a bug right now where no novels are appearing on the Titles page.
-
On iOS there is no way to go to the desktop version while on mobile, and clicking desktop version in the Chrome app does nothing. This would be very helpful since the Filters tab on iOS is still completely useless as nothing is clickable. https://imgur.com/EucoayI

It's probably due to how the links are set up with whatever javascript or css you have going, but I find it rather annoying that when you're on the page for a series, you can't select any of the information on the left-hand side when it's a link. As far as I can tell, this makes it impossible to copy-paste the information.
For instance, if I want to copy the author's name, and I try to select the text, for some reason, the mouse ends up dragging around a floating box that's the same as the box with the text. I don't know why anyone would want that. I don't object to it being a link (that can be useful), but the fact that I can't select the text is just plain annoying. The text that isn't a link (e.g. the headers like Author or Tags) can be selected properly, but it doesn't work with any of the actual information for the series, because it's all links, and the links won't let you select their text.

@Kalessin Links are basically never selectable anywhere, not just the beta site... but yes, the links on the left-hand side take up the entire block, not just the bounding box of the text and icon. Try copying from the line above i.e. if you want to select the author's name, start from after Author, just like you'd select from the whitespace before/after a normal link to get the link text.
-
@Gamen There are plenty of links that are properly selectable on the normal site, though it's certainly possible that there are some that aren't. Regardless, I think that it's highly undesirable that a link's text ever not be selectable like any other text. It's an anti-feature and just gets in the way.
Also, when I just tried selecting the text above the link to get it to then also select the link's text as you suggested, that didn't work at all. e.g. selecting Author and moving the mouse down then selected Illustrator without selecting the author's name at all.
-
@Kalessin My bad, I use Waterfox Classic which doesn't support the unprefixed user-select: none CSS; I see the same situation as you in the lastest versions of Chrome and Firefox due to them styling those links with user-select: none

The calendar is buggy. Not only do past items not show up, but items in the near future aren't listed. Right now (September 13th), the earliest release I see listed is on September 22nd. None of the releases (subscription or digital book) between now and then are listed. So, over a week of releases is missing starting from now.
I would expect items to stay in the calendar permanently, though the current site seems to only list as far back as the previous month for some reason. Either way, the current behavior of the calendar on the beta site is clearly buggy.

Hi again. I was checking beta again and i wanted to go to discussing page. For Lazy Dungeon Master which is currently 13th volume released, when click the "discuss on forums" it sends us to vol 1, thread. It would be nice for the put short cut for every volumes discuss thread link near their vol info OR change to the main "discuss on forums" to latest thread.

This post is deleted! -
When buying a book directly without having credits it states 1 credit is $7 for regular users and $6 for premium. But the button to actually redeem/purchase the book says "Buy 1 credit for $7 and redeem". Don't know if this is a issue here or that on the beta site I'm shown as a 'regular' user.

I just saw this thread and wanted to say I overall LOVE the new site design! Can't wait for it to become the main page.
That said, I'm confused about follows in particular. The only place this seems to show anything is on the calendar. If I follow a bunch of series that may not have chapters being released, just as a sort of bookmark, I can't pull up a list of what I was following. I was expecting something maybe on the User page or in the header bar so I could shortcut to certain series as I'd like to treat it as a sort of bookmark for buying volumes later.
Also on the Calendar the back link isn't working. So if I missed a few days and wanted to go back say a week to see what I needed to catch up on, I can't find how to do that.
And is there a way to bookmark things? Some novels are still fully available to read, either from catchup or because I didn't follow them too closely since I wanted to binge at the end, and it's difficult to remember where I left off in the parts.

First of all guys congrats I love the new version of the site it is intuitive, I especially like the series pages and the calendar page. I can mostly comment only on the design aspect since is also my profession. I checked the website on a surface pro in a maximised chrome window.
However thou more useful it looks more dated than the current version. Static page width is the main culprit. I would suggest to make the header and footer dynamic width.
The grey background outside the website container element makes the website claustrophobic I would suggest to make it white and increase the white space between elements. A lot of work has to be made in the typography, I would first focus on selecting a font combination for headings and paragraph text. ATM there is not enough contrast between the two
More padding in the banner, the type is cluttered at the bottom and top edge.

https://beta.j-novel.club/user/membership
The page says my membership is
Regular
but it should list it as Premium? This happens on both places: the sidebar on the left and the membership page itself.===
EDIT
One more thing: it looks like all the pages on the beta website are missing the HTML element<title>
, so they all simply show the current url as the page title. -
Have the button at the button is much harder to use then at the top on a tablet.

A few issues I've run into:
- There's no way to navigate from your user page to the pages for series you follow
- Pages have no <title> tags, so they just show the URL in the browser
- I'm following White Cat's Revenge, but it's not showing up in my user RSS feed
- It's remarkably difficult to find your user ID in order to get your user RSS feed
- User RSS feeds use the user ID, rather than any kind of resettable authentication token, so if you accidentally post your link somewhere you can't reset it (not exactly a huge issue but it turns an accidental temporary loss of privacy, which is inherent to the feature, into an ongoing loss of privacy)
-
In the User Library, if you're following a series and don't have any books purchased, it'll still create a collapsible but give you no links or way to interact. These could use either a separate section for Followed series, a link to the series' page, or just not creating an entry without one owned title.

Looks like there's two tags for Ichiro Sakaki.
- https://beta.j-novel.club/titles?search=author:"Ichirou Sakaki"
- https://beta.j-novel.club/titles?search=author:"Ichiro Sakaki"
Looks like both spellings are used even on the covers of the different series. Might be something that should be unified going forward...

The beta site breaks scrolling to the top on iOS by clicking on the top of safari. This works in nearly all websites
