It would be nice to have a normal comments section.

Forums are nice for longer text and slower convos on niche topics, but it would be nice to have a comments section on each chapter integrated into the app to bond over more immediate reactions. I think it would be used a lot.

It would also be nice to see a chapter view counter while I'm at it. It does make me happy to see my favorite series on the top %s of amazon's book categories, but that's nothing like knowing how many of you are sharing the same experience of fangirling over one new chapter only x hours after its out. Fandom culture is fun.

What makes you think the forums can't handle flowing topics? They've migrated to what they've become because people want them that way, but that doesn't say they have to be that way.

Many of the existing topics do flow in multiple directions. And others split as needed. But that's more in line with what people want to happen.

@someoldguy I think they want to see the thread load automatically onto the page underneath the reader the way you see comments sections for things like manga load up when a group uses disqus or something. Since they've specifically mentioned the app, I don't believe there's any way to load up the forum thread for the series from inside the app the way you can open it off the web site reader.

@jpwong True, there isn't an automatic way to tie portions of the commentary to specific frames within the commentary. You would still need to create a new thread, which could die just a few "frames" away, even within the same day's section of the commentary.
