Author: ホー
Artist: bob
Publisher: Hobby Japan
Status in COO: 9 Volumes (Ongoing)
Manga Adaption: Yes
Why: If J-Novel club is missing something then it is senki light novels. It got a great story, very exciting battles and also nice illustrations.
The other good senki LN I would recommend is Shinwa Densetsu no Eiyuu no Isekaitan. If people are interested in senki LN I will open up a new thread for that novel. -
Hero scapes from the summoning and starts his path to become a ruler himself. Sounds dope AF. I second this.
-
This look really interesting, you got my vote. I really want this.
-
This LN is really good, i would love to see get licensed.
-
Yeah its a great series :)
I love how everyone thinks Ryouma is older than he actually is! xD -
It's a pretty interesting twist. So it would be great it someone picked it up
-
Killing the evil people who summoned you and were trying to enslave you? Go nuts, they reaped what they sowed. Killing the son of the doctor who was going to treat him? That was straight-up unjustified murder. At least he doesn't go around killing without cause after that.
-
I had a look at the manga and I read a small part of the WN fan translation. I'd like to see this licensed too. The protagonist is quite cunning if I remember properly.
-
@guspaz well, there was some justification for killing the doctors' son, to keep his identity a secret, but yeah most of the violence and stuff seems to happen early on.
-
I mean, he could have just kept the helmet on and the son would never have known his face, so even his identity wasn't really a reason.
-
It would be nice to have this picked up, especially since the fan translation isn't the greatest.
-
A shame this wasn't picked up :(
-
i would like this to be licensed by J novel club, i think its different in that the protagonist is ruthless and has no qualms over killing people if its to survive in this new world.
-
Illustrations 1-11Spoil yourself if you dare! :D... JNC already have from Hobby Japan some series so possibility is not Zero a
-
The manga isn't bad, but from what I've seen so far I would probably pass this one up and reading something else instead. Reason for that is because the story in manga been more on generic and "safe" side, nothing I haven't seen before.
-
From reading some of the manga and the web novel i can second that this series really does have a great story, good character development and great world/ lore building. All of which are backed up by great writing, Here's hoping the series LN's get licensed and translated ; )

cover fo 12th volume

had started reading the fan translation, started edgy but soon changes like many others into a harem collecting slave girls.
I liked the intro, liked the political intrigue but would have preferred if had formed a party made of both men and women, and of different ages rather than just cute girls. The more I read LN the less I am finding harems to be satisfactory
-
@renofury Not sure what you are talking about him only having female companions. The only slaves he ever has are Sara and Rora that he meets early on. The rest are all simple underlings/business partners, etc that work for him.Plus, he has several male companions as well that council him throughout the story. The only characters in the story that are pushed as potential romantic interests of his harem are Sara and Rora.
Either way I would very much like this series to be licensed.
-
I did stop reading after vol1, so from my point of view the companions were slaves. More preciselyI had read till when he was given a piece of land.
I generally dislike novels were the MC is an insert op character and have an harem of devoted teenage girls (and very often younger) for the gratification of the reader. Thou this is a common theme, there are still quite a number of ln's that feature more believable mc like grimgar, aooni or werewolf.
As mentioned I liked the edgy start but it wasn't for me.
