Title: Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shite shimatta...
Japanese: 乙女ゲームの破滅フラグしかない悪役令嬢に転生してしまった…
Translated title: I reincarnated into a villainess from an otome game who only has destruction flags...
Publisher: Ichijinsha
Books released: 6
Manga adaptation?: Yes (not licensed in English)
Anime adaptation?: NoSynopsis: Katarina Claes is a stereotypical young heiress - spoiled, selfish, arrogant, the works - until one day, when she fell and hit her head on a rock, awakening memories of a past life as a Japanese teenager. While being nursed, she suddenly became engaged to a prince, leading her to realize... that this was the world of an otome game she had played before! Not only that, but she was the character destined to either be killed or exiled by the end of the game!!!
Armed with this newfound knowledge, Katarina desperately concocts various countermeasures to secure her future, blithely unaware that not only has she long prevented her death or exile, but she's even turned into the new heroine instead!
My spiel: Katarina + idiot (baka) = Bakarina xD
Amazing lead and great supporting characters, with a premise that's so off-the-wall that it could easily fail but instead effortlessly amazes and leaves you wanting more. Part of the magic is just how innocent and straightforward Katarina is and how easy it is to simultaneously sympathize with her while shaking your head at her complete buffoonery. The rest of the cast are likewise superb foils for Katarina and similarly smitten with her all the while cleaning up after her.
This is just a really fun read that doesn't get too bogged down on the tropes commonly seen in noble society stories (rich vs. poor, politics, public/private etiquette games). Katarina is charming and not too stupid as to be a turn off, and her friends are all wonderful characters with ridiculously extreme dark sides that just swirl the pot even more.
The fan translations stopped in the middle of volume 4 because apparently some hecklers were bothering the TLer and complaining about how they didn't like where the story was going, which was unmotivating for her. Would LOVE to see this get picked up!

I definitely want this series licensed. Part of the charm I find is that it takes some bad harem tropes, and actually makes them funny while having a heroine/protagonist. She's really lovable with her straightforward attitude yet also with her dense-pureness where you worry about her. Bakarina is a great protagonist that doesn't just conquer a reverse harem, but even the reader's hearts. <3

I just read the Manga but it is great! The heroine is hilarious and its really fun. She is totally likeable. The only thing is that she is - like most of the reincarnated protagonists - dense. Very dense. She is building a harem (both male and female) and doesn't notice that they like her...
On the other side her delusions are so fun to read... So, I would love to read this LN :) -
Bakarina is love, Bakarina is live.
And this is coming from someone who despises reverse harems. The story is just that good. And Bakarina being dense actually makes sense with all her delusions and knowledge of the game's setting.

I’m not even sure this is classified as a reverse harem, more like an all consuming black hole harem that none shall ever escape.
I would also like this one, it would be a nice light comedy series to replace genius which is entering its final volume.

Destruction Flag may be a challenge to license, though not impossible. From a previous thread:
Going back to the Destruction Flag novel, this post from Curiosity Cat is relevant:
Are there cases of merging publisher? Will there be drastic effect on the series they published?
A recent example is Kodansha purchasing Ichijinsha. I can tell you that what happened on the international licensing side is that Kodansha's licensing department is kind of acting like an exclusive agent for Ichijinsha now. So ichijinsha still has control but Kodansha acts are like another layer to get through.
Ichijinsha has that out under their Bunko Iris label. But, I don't know if that means Sam has been trying to get in there, and whether that indeed makes it more unlikely (he has gotten Kodansha stuff right?). It seems like it makes it a more complicated process definitely.

This sounds great, after the pitch and praise here it rises to the top tier of what I want now
