Any good 'Alice in Wonderland' novels and manga you can recommend?
-
Lately I’m totally into reading books with the 'Alice in Wonderland' setting (again). And I wonder, if anyone could recommend me some good novels (it doesn’t matter, if they are western novels or light novels) and manga with this setting. It would be good, if there would be some horror elements included.
Regarding manga, I already read Pandora Hearts, Are You Alice? and Wonderful Wonder World, especially the first one was to my liking, although the other two were pretty good as well.
I’ve also played a lot of games with this setting, namely Alice in the Country of Heart/Clover/Joker/Diamond/Twin World (unfortunately they are only available in japanese) and the second game of Mcgee’s Alice series. I’ve never played the first one, but the second one was awesome! Next year a third game apparently shall get released, I already can’t wait to get my hands on it.
And I’m currently reading the Alice novel by Christina Henrey, though since I started reading it only recently I still can’t say much about it.
But all this is still not enough, so please recommend me some more~~~!!! -
The very first thing that came to mind when you mentioned this was the Apocalypse Alice (Mokushiroku Arisu) light novel series written by Kagami Takaya (of Denyuuden and Seraph of the End fame).
I remember really enjoying it and being disappointed it wasn't licensed. Now that I think about it, I can't remember how much Alice in Wonderland it had in it though.
(Dendrogram definitely has AIW influences!)

There's actually a light novel and a few manga series of it published by Seven Seas. Though I dunno if they are game adaptations or new stories.

how about Shiro Alice? it's a mix of Alice in Wonderland and Snow White.
