based on THIS thread I gave the anime a try. this weekend...ended up binging the entire cours. (Crunchyroll is SO much better without commercials) I agree with the opinions expressed here. This title (at least the anime) was adorable. It riffs on enough of the tropes I'm used to to feel nostalgic somehow yet avoids cliches (plus it funny and believable) - I don't know how much of the LN series got made into the anime- but SAM PLEASE get this! 11 volumes are (or sill soon be) out there and I have premium credits itchin' to get spent!

@jon-mitchell The Anime covered 5 Volumes and the last episode was from the DLC special volume, mainly for some fanservice. As much as the anime gives you the oooo wtf reaction, the lns do an even better job.

also I personally love the novel than the anime, simply because there is so much more detail on it. -
I second this recommandation. I binge watched the whole anime season and last time I laughed this much was for Konosuba and ore monogatari.
The fact of it being all about misunderstandings due to the characters being nerds is much fun and refreshing gag wise.
It's not vulgar or cringy either, and the MC, while looking random, is quite interesting due to his take on game culture and his drive to take action and be more aassertive about making frienships and dating.Like most fictions, I bet the LN is even better than the anime.
So yeah, here is my endorsement, I'd be glad to read it from JNC.Btw, any answer from the team here regarding english licensing ?

Was just talking with my wife about this the other day. It's such a fun, super endearing series, and I'd really love to pick it up if it got licensed. Just about a bunch of dumbass, well-meaning kids who absolutely never seem to be able to say the right thing at all. I really hope JNC picks it up and gives it the love it deserves!

Oh man, just rewatched the series on Blu-ray with my wife and was reminded of how excellent it is. Is "DLC" the sequel, or is it more of a spin-off/side story like Date A Bullet is for Date A Live?
