Title: Yondome wa Iyana Shi Zokusei Majutsushi

Author: Densuke
Description: Amamiya Hiroto is unlucky. His life consisted of misfortune after misfortune, culminating in an unlucky death during an incident on a school boat trip, trying to save a girl he barely knew. After death, he met a god of reincarnation who requested that the hundred or so dead passengers—one of them being the girl he tried in vain to save—be reincarnated into another world.Yet a series of unfortunate events forced Hiroto to reincarnate with even less luck than before, starting with nothing but a tremendous amount of Mana. His second life, far worse than his first, came to a cruel end.
However, upon meeting the god a second time, he was informed that there would be yet another reincarnation—one that had already been set in motion and could not be stopped. Not wanting Hiroto to live long, the god cursed him before he was reborn in the hopes that he would either die quickly or commit suicide.
Hiroto was reborn once more as a half-Vampire, half-Dark Elf. A Dhampir. Not wanting a fourth life, he is determined to live this third life with the only things remaining from his previous lives—death-attribute magic and his enormous Mana pool.
My thoughts:
A great series. I love the story and characters.
The main character is just mega unlucky and gets reincarnated not once, but twice. With his third live he has a chance to establish himself but his bad luck is not to be ignored. And even though, he is a caring and thoughtful character. -
This one has definitely my vote, the web novel translation was so good to read.
-
The beginning of it is pretty bad (in the WN, at least, it's pretty brutal/depressing and could have been done better), but if you get past that, it's a really good series that I greatly enjoyed. The webnovel chapters are absurdly long, though, typically 6,000+ words.
-
Yeah, the chapters are long, but it's mostly filled with explanations that take up more or less half the chapter on the characters, monsters, skills, etc. still quite an enjoyable story though.

This post is deleted! -
@sinnoaria the techincal manual parts are at the very end of the chapters and it's usually stats and an explanation about race and you can just skip right over them.
-
I would love for them to translate this so I can support the author. He has done fantastic work with this series.
-
Reading the synopsis I can't help but laugh at how worse his luck is. It's practically nonexistent. I'd believe you if you say his luck is in the negatives.
Thanks for bringing this up, OP. I know what I'll be doing this weekend hahaha (and @NoirMorter without whom I'd never saw this post hehe)
p/s: wtf is with those tags? I never really pay attention to the NU tag section in hope of avoiding spoilers but heck, this title's tags goes on and on and on that it actually catches my attention

I happened upon this story on NovelUpdate. I'd definitely get this series if JNC picks it up.
-
The prologue is tough to get through, and the first arc (which isn't that long) is meh and kind of depressing, but it really picks up from there. His luck does eventually change, though you will always hate the stupid god that is the cause of the whole mess. I mean, you're meant to hate him.
All those tags are appropriate and applicable.
-
The web novel for this series is really good and it'd be awesome if the series LN got translated (tho I think only 4 volumes of the LN are currently out in Japan, whereas the Web novel is miles ahead in terms of story). I would love to support the authors work and is definitely a series I would buy if licensed and translated. ; )

So true. I wish they could all just drop dead already. That said, I’m now at chapter 100 of the WN and ooooh boy this is really interesting. Really wish I could pick this up officially tho haha

A dark MC? I like it!
-
I don't know that he's a particularly dark MC (not later on, anyhow), but he's certainly not a terribly sane MC (something that he acknowledges).
-
@guspaz as long there is a messed up revenge plot going on and the MC is not your average, boring isekai protagonist, I approve it.
-
@redarx It is kind of funny. His luck is actually in the negatives and that is part of the prelude and his story itself.
-
@noirmorter hahaha so true. But his perseverance and willpower despite that luck is something to look up to. Nothing and I literally mean nothing can stand in his way of achieving whatever he's aspiring to at the moment - which honestly helps make the whole thing way more interesting. I find myself thinking what could go wrong next or who's gonna poke him the wrong way and get sent to oblivion lol
-
bump. another one i'm interested in.
-
So far, the series only has three volumes released. When will the fourth one come out? I ready want to read the English version of the LN. I hope they translate this series.

Started reading the web novel and damn, this shit is gooooood. The translation of web novel is excellent, the effort author put into world building is astonishing. Moreover, for the 40 odd chapters I have read so far, the author never tried to contradict himself or retcon something he had written in previous chapters.
Although the revenge plot is somewhat week so far, but considering I am 40 chapters inn and MC is only 3 years old, I think that is fairly reasonable.
