Title: Kamitachi ni Hirowareta Otoko
Author: Roy
Volumes: 3 (Ongoing)Description:
Takebayashi Ryouma, a 39 years old man with hidden past, found himself in a strange white room. The gods tell him that he has died and that they are sending his soul to a different world, a world where magic exists. After living alone for 3 years, his gamer soul loses its common sense and starts along crazy routes. My thoughts: Its such a cute story. You cannot not like Ryouma, he is just so sweet! And his companions are great.
Its a sweet and fluff story with lots of slimes and fun characters. -
I have read a bit of the manga and I most definitely want to read the LN.

Read the WN version of this, thought it was great, so I'd be pretty ecstatic to see it officially picked up. That said, there's only 3 volumes out and the original WN stalled at volume 5 due to writer's block before the author started on this reboot, so maybe it might be prudent to wait for a few more volumes to come out just in case the reboot edition stalls again for the same reason.

just finished reading the available 5 ch, seems like a nice slice-of-life story with a socially awkward child MC.
i really gotta stop reading comments on NU cause most of them gave me the impression that the MC was a weird old man MC, nothing about the social awkwardness or MC's actual background. -
I'm up to date with the manga, and I'm liking it, but there's not really enough available yet to make a judgment. Of course, that's based on the manga, not the LN.

If you're here for the socially awkward part, that's probably going to be going away after the current arc in the manga. If you're here for a slice of life about a kid who researches different slimes and makes use of them, then I think you'll like the story.

@jpwong
well, id be lying if that wasnt a large part of what made me like the manga but slice-of-life is the main appeal. though just the fact that MC isnt a horny teen who's first thought it "HAREM!" (not to say i dont read those) is good for a slice-of-life.for the awkward part, theres Archdemon's Dilema and Demon Lord Summon to fill those parts anyways.

@motionless47 idk but I also can read books like that but can’t stand watching anime like that.

I took a look at the manga and then then read the fan TL, I would indeed be interested in this one too :)

I personally just finished reading the manga and all five volumes after being engrossed into this. The reboot looks almost identical to the original novel. They said that they will be branching from the original starting in volume 3 of the reboot. I’ve got to admit though, that I am a little salty the way they ended the original novel at the end of volume 5 however I can see where he would get writers block at that point since many scenarios could happen creating to much problems to be focused on. I’m just glad that there continuing the novel instead of dropping it completely. I will admit however that some parts in the novel did get a little boring leaving me a giving this novel a 4/5 on a rating for it. I do truly love this novel and look forward to what it looks like in the future.

I hope this story get's licensed. I've read the translated manga myself and I liked it.

I hope it's alright that I necro this..
But I also would love to see this one licensed. I randomly stumbled onto the original web novel a while ago, then I was excited to hear about the reboot. Even more so when I found the manga.
This series would be a wonderful addition to J-Novels collection, and to mine.
