Dies irae Kickstarter

Ohhh, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks.
-
@Anthony Yeah, I hope I wasn't too vague there. Light Novel fans I think would like VNs. They're a bit more of a time sink though (Root Double for instance is about 50 hours if you wait through the spoken dialogue; Steins Gate and 999 are probably both about 20 hours?).
A few VNs have English voice acting, though those tend to be the puzzle oriented ones (Danganronpa, Zero Escape series). Majority have JP voices only.
I try to stay as blind as possible on VNs besides knowing how long they are hour wise, so if I find that out for this, I'll go on blackout for it.
Edit: 60 hours? Ok. Blackout time. xD

I don't think I would be able to do that, I'd get confused and get lost.
-
@Bryan Good news Bryan, they've announced that they are taking away the blurry stuff. Everyone's happy for once. Never thought Light would do that. But here we are.
-
You know that Japanese publishers don't like to mosaic their work either. I think that the younger company execs are finally beginning to realize that its better for overall to release things as they are intended for worldwide releases even if it does hurt sales a little at home.
-
@Sam-Pinansky it doesn't make sense how it would hurt sales at home lol. Sales in Japan are declining overall. That's why many are looking to the west now.
-
@Fezu if they put that information into official news, I'll be getting a physical edition!
-
Dies irae has launched and it looks very different from the prefundia. I think they took some of my feedback a bit too literally.

I was actually very excited for this but sadly I am out of date with the times. It is only for windows I hope for a successful campaign nonetheless.
-
Pledged for the 65 dollar tier! Hopefully we get that art book too!
-
I don't know if anyone has been following this one, but apparently there was some drama involving Vita tiers / goal. They reworked the goals a bit I guess recently.
Some don't think they'll make it now, as some pledges had been removed before these changes, though those final few days of a campaign are usually some of the strongest, so I don't know.
-
This does seem like it's going to make it now. Always happy for new VNs.
There were a lot of either troll pledge removals or people cancelling legitimately due to how the campaign was run (I guess in regards to Vita?).
-
@Terrence It has made it. Not the Vita tier yet, but very close to it. Really annoyed with the PR and the lack of good add-ons. Light's website has lots of good merchandises they could have used for this kickstarter and yet none of them were brought over.
-
@Bryan said in Dies irae Kickstarter:

Like I said above, unless the campaign is officially over, gotta worry about troll pledges / pulled pledges, though they're passed the goal enough that I'd hope it's mostly real pledges.
That's too bad about them choosing not so great merch.

Funded and Vita goal funded. I am kind of exhausted after this rollercoaster of emotions it's been. So many, mistakes have been made over the campaign and there's so many confusions and misunderstandings between the Japanese and the PR company over the entire campaign. Probably the worst start of a Kickstarter campaign that I've ever seen and that's with even a Prefundia. The stretch goals left us in disarray for a day or two and the sour feeling that this was meant to be so much more is lingering.
It certainly has been a definitive wild ride.
