      Heh.

      Bought both Kokoro Connect and Amagi Brilliant Park. Just one person, but did my part!

          @rahul-balaggan I can't say yes to High School DxD officially licensed enough. So instead I vote with my wallet and buy every novel that I read they translate. Their business model is amazing.

            Did the same.

            If DxD ever gets licensed I really hope it will be by J-Novel Club.

            I encourage everyone to buy both Amagi Brilliant Park and Kokoro Connect to make a good impression on Kadokawa (and because of the stories of course)

              To be honest, as much as i love DxD, i'm not going to purchase books i have no interest in to maybe (small chance) to get it licensed. I would much rather spend my money on books i will read.

                As much as I like DxD, Amagi, and Kokoro Connect, JNC is still a bit too far behind on both Amagi and Kokoro and I need to focus on series that I am behind on first.

                That said, it would be great if we could get DxD on JNC.

                Winning isn't really that fun if you want a challenge... Making others win, on the other hand...

                  Hypothetically if they got the license, and did all this prepub stuff, they could release the whole series in about 5 years.

                    Oh definitely if you have no interest, no pressure to buy.

                    I definitely wanted Amagi, it feels like a weird Japanse Changeling: The Dreaming to me. And I had a minor interest in Kokoro. I'd probably not have bought it if I didn't want to encourage more Kadokawa, but I am interested in it, so why not? S'only six bucks, so buy it rather than just read the prepubs.

                      Now that fan translations are in volume 25 maybe they could pick the Shin High School DxD volume 1? But yeah I understand that are a lot of reasons for not doing it and I hope that the other titles are doing well I tried to watch Amagi and Kokoro but I do not liked.

                        @makeiks I sincerely doubt JNC could license a sequel series without the first series even if they wanted to, as that would basically be encouraging English readers to go read the illegal fan translations in order to catch up.
                        And this is a Kadokawa title after all. They forced Sam to take down the clean illustrations in the premium ebooks of Amagi and Kokoro, and they even wanted him to email everyone who downloaded the old versions of the ebooks that had the clean illustrations to delete them, all in concern of people pirating them.

                          @legitpancake

                          but what if JNC hired "Code-Zero' or one of the other translators that worked at Baka-TsuXX (Like they did for Warnis. and Rokojouma) then they could market volumes 1-25 faster. The question becomes - what would be the potential market? Would e-books sell well? would it bring new subscribers? can they get viewership data from crunchyroll (to get an idea of how popular the anime still is) now that JNC and CR are doing some marketing together?

                          I read banned books

                            @jon-mitchell in that case I would refer you to Guspaz’s comment several months ago on why that wouldn’t work for DxD.
                            Not to mention Kadokawa would be difficult (presumably) in negotiating J-Novel to buy a pre-existing unofficial fan translation.

                                @jon-mitchell said in High School DxD:

                                @legitpancake

                                but what if JNC hired "Code-Zero' or one of the other translators that worked at Baka-TsuXX (Like they did for Warnis. and Rokojouma) then they could market volumes 1-25 faster.

                                Well zxzxzx (the fan translator who has picked up dxd after code zero and has done till vol 25) asked sam to license it.in that talk they also discussed on what u said.

                                But sam said that Rokojouma fan translation was good and just needed an editor before releasing it. But in case of dxd, fan translation of starting volume (from vol 1 to nearly 10+ volume i think. i dont know) is not that good. So hiring an editor would not be an good choice (with which i agree). So if they want to license it, they need to translate it from start.

                                Note- i dont know if what i said is what happen (its just what i had read months ago from zxzxzx.) I may be wrong. And its just ans to ques that why JNC dont do dxd just like Rokojouma which may be wrong.

                                  Please translate this series the fan translations are ok but they aren’t quite right. I would be more than happy to preorder all 25 LN if professionally translated. Heck I’ll pay in advance. With the anime’s future a mystery and no other English material to read, I’d be disappointed to just have to give up on such a promising series.

                                      @blohmiller There is a huge community of people on reddit who feel this way too. Many many many of them would buy the novels just to support the author. Many more however, would love to own an official translation in any form they could get it.

                                        If I started a Petition requesting a High School DxD License how many signatures (potential buyers) would it take for you to consider it?
                                        ........................................................................................
                                        Hmm! If we assume that 1% of signers will actually buy the books, then like 200,000!

                                          Selling only 2000 copies seems really low for some reason... Especially for something as popular as DxD

                                            @timmaaah They asked me how many sales it'd take for me to consider it effectively so I gave my stock answer.
