Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero
-
Description:
Summoned into an alternate world of Alayzard, Ousawa Akatsuki helps defeat the demon lord, brings harmony back into the world and, under the demon lord’s last request, takes the demon’s only daughter back into Akatsuki’s own world.
It turns out that being teleported into a different world is somewhat of a common occurrence back home. Those who return often come back with the power to use magic. So a worldwide organization, fearing people like Akatsuki, created Babel, a school to teach and keep tabs on the magic users.
Akatsuki is able to bring the demon lord’s only daughter into Babel as his sister, Ousawa Miu. A new chapter for Akatsuki is about to begin–this time, in his own universe!

I have only seen up to volume 3 or so translated, which is sad. Funny story overall with a trained super pervert with questionable logic for the things he does. Not much more i can think to say there
-
The anime was amusing, especially the joke that so many young people have been summoned to other worlds that the returnees need their own high school - university complex.
-
Loved the anime... need more of it to be honest.
Where did the story end anyways?
-
Any chance of this one being picked up?

@zeugin Hobby Japan has a close relationship with JNC, and 11 volumes is a little long but not too bad. Only problem is the older 2012 anime that is mostly forgotten in the west. Not to mention many people may not want to get into it knowing that it is stalled. I don't know anything about the story, but it seems volume 11, which came out in 2013, was not the conclusion.

Would love to see this picked up even if it is stalled. It's a pretty fun story which also manages to be serious where appropriate
-
The Japanese and English voices of Miu in the anime were also the voices of Emi in "The Devil is a Part-Timer!"
-
I would definitely read this if you guys picked it up.
-
Yes! PLEASE pick this series up, and my money's yours!
-
The assumption this was stalled due to the author was concentrating on finishing Shinmai Maou, does anyone know anything further as it's has since finished.
-
@Khaos I think the author is focusing on testament of a sister new devil. But I really hope that j novel club picks up this series.
-
@DemonFury Yea, but thought the series finished over a year ago at Vol. 12.
-
Stalled this may be but I'd still support a translation.

The author has stated that The Testament of Sister New Devil is supposed to have one more volume, but for whatever reason, he hasn't finished it yet. A few months after volume 12 was released, he started releasing a new series. So, he's left two series stalled, though I think that we have a much better chance of getting the end of The Testament of Sister New Devil than Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero given that its volume 12 was originally scheduled to be released in 2013, but cdjapan lists it as "Release Postponed," and AFAIK, there have been no signs of the author going back to finish it. I have no clue what happened though, and I have no clue how close to a resolution that series is, since not many of its volumes have fan translations (whereas The Testament of Sister New Devil has a complete fan translation IIRC - aside from the unreleased volume, of course).
I would love to see this series get picked up, but between the fact that its anime aired in 2012 and the fact that the series is incomplete, I doubt that it stands much of a chance of getting licensed at this point. One more reason that I really need to buckle down and properly learn Japanese...
IIRC, this is one of the series that I actually own in Japanese in the hopes of being able to read it someday, but of course, I can't read it yet.

Yes, PLEASE pick up this series! I will buy EVERY volume if you do (as long as you make sure to release ALL eleven volumes)!
-
@MrWii000 From what JNC has said in the past, they have no intention of ever dropping any series if they can avoid it (they did drop one due to the Japanese publisher wanting it dropped because of some controversial stuff involving the author, but that's the only time that they've dropped anything). So, if JNC licenses this series, they will release the entire thing. It's just sadly unlikely that they'll actually license it given how old it is. But we can hope.
