New iOS App Version now available for beta testing!
-
The current version also doesn’t have manga, and it cuts off words at the bottom on the iPhone 10s (and I think the other iPhones with the notch). Although the last beta had problems with copy over images on the iPad, it was actually pretty useable on my phone. So if it fixed the iPad image issue, plus problems with losing space while rotating, it would be ready to go for novels at least. The manga side needed a bit more work, but it was better than no manga.

Sam on Discord mentioned releasing a new version. Most likely he hasn't had time because he's in Japan with Aimee these days. (Or so I remember reading at least?)
-
@terabyte No version yet. :(

I believe someone in Discord mentioned there might be a new version next week. But take it with a pinch of salt as I'm not sure.
-
it sounds like Sam could benefit from having a consultant/app developer
I know a guy ;)

I would hope they at least extend the expiration date as the current released version hides some text after every image. It is a major pet peeve of mine.
I'm having the same issue. Although I think it might be before the image? Like a sentence missing.
Also, could we get like a favorites/bookmarks tab or something? So we don't have to scroll through all the series every time if we're working on catchup or only following a few series.
-
So when is the new beta coming out?
-
@ztshp or at least the non-beta version
-
*5 years later...
Where the fuck is the update?
Edit: Nvm, since I read novel primarily on mobile, I’ve decided to stop following prepub. I don’t have that much time to spare anyway nowadays. I’ll just grab the published copy later on kindle or kobo. I can’t read the jnc premium copy on the app anyway so I’m not losing much I guess.

Sam said he has to do that from a macOS machine, and he left his MacBook in San Antonio when he went to Sakura Con.
-
The beta version is back! Love that I can read manga on the app again haha

App seems to be fine for reading. Resume works, the last paragraph before images isn't omitted, the images scale correctly but are off centre(not a big issue), the page scrolling animation when you slide to change page is a little choppy but bearable and the completion % shows the page percentage and not the percentage of the document(again more a change in functionality than a bug.
Will report any issues I find with the manga reader once I've tried it, but wrt the ln reader it appears to be in a releasable state.
-
Manga reader seems fine. Found a bug in the text reader though. While in vertical scrolling mode if you change between light, sepia or dark modes the text will progress by a full screen of text.
-
Just found a bug. It appears while images are now displaying over the full screen they are being stretched out of their correct aspect ratio. This became apparent with the landscape image in volume 6 part 3 of AmaBri, this landscape image also spills onto the next page while viewing in both portrait and landscape modes covering text.
This leads me to believe that images are now only constrained by height, I would like to once again reiterate that images must be constrained by both height and width so that images do not spill onto subsequent pages and are displayed in the correct aspect.

When does this eventually just become the new app? Seems like it’s been over a year since the last update.
-
i think the app needs the ability to continue reading from one chapter to another without going back to the series's page to choose the next version.
then bookmark feature will be a good addon for the app. -
The app needs more to be renewed with a new build: the beta expires in 16 days.
-
I think the beta has expired. It's gone from my Tesflight now. I'm sad
-
@redarx It has. Got a notification a couple of hours ago saying there was a new version available, 2.7.1 but nothing is showing up in Testflight.
-
Supposedly, Sam has submitted the beta version that was on testflight to iTunes, so it is in review now, and should go live for everyone in the next couple days.
