I'm not sure why, but this episode gave me much more warm fuzzies than previous ones. (Maybe it is all the cute kiddies?) I feel they did a good job here.

They didn't pronounce Philine's name they way I would (both i's are long, the e is silent.)

They didn't specify that the song Rozemyne sung was from an anime. Does anyone recognize the tune as coming from any anime? I suspect it does not, which would be disappointing.

Previously they'd translated 'archduke candidate' as 'succession candidate', and I was OK with that. But now they are using 'archduke candidate'. How about some consistency? If there were good reason to prefer 'archduke candidate', the translator should have considered those reasons before using 'succession candidate'.

Architecture review of the castle: First, it isn't a castle, it is a palace. However, we misname things as castles so often over here in our world that I'll give them a pass on that. So often in anime/manga I see flat roofs where they make no sense, but here all the roofs are sloped. I'd have liked to see them more sloped, given this is a snowy climate. There aren't remotely enough chimneys compared to what we'd have had in our world, but maybe they have some magical workaround. I don't fully remember what all the side buildings are for, but I'm not sure they're all big enough. Is one of them the residence of Sylvester and Florencia? This should be pretty grand.

Summing up: This architecture is well above the (rather poor) average of anime/manga.

They also had Wilfried sing the same song, which makes no sense for several reasons:

        • he's a child of spring, and it's a song for the God of Summer
        • the song itself is RA-level, beyond his skill level
        • the last thing they want is to make it easy to compare him to Rozemyne, when he's not even as good as archnoble Gregor.

IIRC, Sylvester and Florencia live in the main building. The side buildings are, in theory, for the second and third wife and their children, though Veronica used to live in one. And then, there's the North Building for Florencia's kids. But Karstedt may have lived there after his baptism, so I'm actually not sure which kids live in the North Building..

I suppose it would have been cheaper if they had gone meta and used Bookworm's own music. 8-)

They did do a decent job of having the earlier kids playing a simpler version of the song. Not sure if that's how they did it but the earlier kids sounded like they were plucking single notes while Myne was doing arpeggiated chords (plus singing. Actually, Myne sounded like she got extra background instruments for a fuller sound). Sadly, Myne was not depicted as "in the moment" when the blessing came out. She was just business as usual and then surprised.

Reading Bookworm, Bibliophile, and Dahlia. Also, Girl Genius, xkcd, Witch Hat, Harpy Gee, and Suitor Armor. Looking for suggestions.

And so in the most recent episode of the Adopted Gremlin of the Archduke...
We flew over the dedication ritual and saw the fight against the Lord of Winter.
Included in that fight is the first deployment of the Leidennuke.

Roz also started to make tons of cash by selling her materials to nobles (after the kids in the academy got trashed by the kids who are not yet in the academy). And the Raise Angelica's Grade Squadron was started, we are now closer for Angelica to get the legendary Lecture Sword...

The LAST event, this season, where we could get introduced to Brunhilde came and went with no introductions (we did see her and her father though).

New Opening: Charlotte now appears (yet there is zero scene where Charlotte, Roz and Wilfried could go on a excursion like this in Part 3 but it's a given considering the number of openings starring Myne dancing or running :p). We also see Silvester's older sister and Obvious Vilainness Georgine appears. Then there's Bonifatius also being present. The ending image appears to be a composite between the colored inserts of Volume 2 and Volume 4. There's also an animated version of Volume's 4's cover image during the OP.

Next episode: Execution of an idiot + Lessons to Hasse that Nobles can be terrifying, Spring Prayer and possibly the setup for the Gathering of the Spring Material (with, of course the likely introduction of the Talfroschs, aka the Kin of Count Toad from last season :p )

I prefer the new opening but the new ending is definitely a step back.

Why do you think I haven't said anything about the ending :P

Just Angelica's reward was mentioned not the rewards for the other squad members.
I liked the winter material collection fight.
Even bonifatius seems skinny. I prefer the LN illustration where his face was fuller and somehow also seemed to have buff.

I suspect the ending is a preview of Rozemyne's jureve dream.
