after the credits it actually goes on to say something about the "new story" making it fairly clear that they were referring explicitly to Myne's story being completed but Rozemyne's only just getting started.
That could well have meant "to be continued in the novels."
I really don't think that's the case. If it were then there'd be no reason to say "and the story ends here" before the credits and "well actually, it's going to continue" afterwards. They could've just left out the bit after the credits if that were the case.

I'm pretty sure that was more of an artistic flourish than anything. And implying there was no story afterwards would run counter to one of the goals of even making some animes, to sell the source material, so they need to show that it's not the absolute end.

Another think to keep in mind is that both of those slides were written in English... in the original JP source anime. Japanese writers and storyboard artists don't always have the best English skills, so what they intended to put on those slides may have been translated to English incorrectly. Not necessarily, but just something to keep in mind.

Looks like the US home video release of Season 3 was silently added to Rightstuf/Crunchyroll Store on 14 October or 15 October 2022, last 24 hours. No news article unlike first and second season combo release from Crunchyroll.
Planned release is a placeholder date in January 2023 (Region A) with a pre-order deadline of December 20 at Crunchyroll. No information yet on Region B home video release yet.

All of these blurays Crunchyroll are releasing are regions A|B, meaning they’ll work in either region of the world.

From my understanding i don't think the anine did very well. Season 2 they blazed through part 2 really quickly and didn't pace well. I don't think we are going to get a season 4. With how popular the light novels are it spurred 3 mini seasons. (a full season is 24 to 26 episodes) but from the pacing the anime viewership must have been extremely low judging how the pacing got faster and faster.
We might be out of luck for a season 4 or the studio is waiting for Miya Kazuki-sensei to end the final novel.
I will be frank season 1 was good but I was really disappointed in the adaptation of Part 2. It really didn't get the same attention and care something like Eminence in Shadow got. Eminence in Shadow's production quality was absurdly high and the pacing wasn't rushing anything.
If we do get a season 4 I want a new studio and a higher budget. Seasons 1 and 2's budget was so so but I noticed an improvement for season 3 as it was closer to Shima Yuu's art style from the light novels, but it was horrible on the pacing. But yeah season 4 with a new studio and larger budget.

No, a full season is a single cour, which is often anywhere from 10-13 episodes. That is very common in the anime industry for both adaptations and originals.

Just rewatched the anime and I thought a key moment in the light novel would’ve added to the scene on a similar level as that cathartic scene when Shikikoza was put in his place. The scene in discussion was when the bishop asked if Ferdinand had dealt with Myne. In the LN Ferdinand displayed his cunning by saying that he had put a magic tool on her and made the bishop think everything was going his way only to be put down by Ferdinand along with his smug smile.

So Urano was isekai’d by books. According to comments in Crunchyroll, we should not be fooled for it is the encyclopedia of truck-kuns. It made me laugh so hard and wanted to share.

Another season has been announced! And Wit Studio will be making it too!! (Stands on one leg).
-
I really hope season 4 is better than season 3. The first two seasons were more or less fine but the third season was really quite awful. Hopefully a new studio means it'll be handled better this time around.
-
@AliceCheshire, as long as Wit Studio doesn't turn Rozemyne into the Book Titan it'll probably be OK.
-
Wit studio producing bookworm 4?! They did Vinland Saga 1, Attack on Titan, Ranking of Kings, and Ancient Magus bride to name a few. All of those anime did their source material justice, I offer prayers to the gods! This is something to look forward to.

Lmao, I’m hoping a fan dedicated to the arts can produce cross over arts!

Well, I'm not going to get too excited, they clearly have an A team and a B team so I guess it will depend on what else they'll have on their plate that season.

Noted! I'll continue to offer my prayers to the gods until the new anime season is released.

Even if it gets handled by the B team, it'd still be rather difficult to do a worse job than season 3 was. You'd need to actively try to manage that.

True, some studios just seem to have a Z team in comparison.

@karasutengu said in [COVER NOT FINAL] Bookworm Part 5 Vol. 12 Discussion!:
I heard that they are also working on season 4 of the anime. However, I don't know if it'll be airing on C-R or Hidive since both were involved in seasons 1-3. Last info I saw on ANN was that it was scheduled to be aired late 2024 or early 2025.
@elkensteyin said in [COVER NOT FINAL] Bookworm Part 5 Vol. 12 Discussion!:
MAL originally had it slated for next season (Fall 2024), but it looks like that may have been pulled back
To my knowledge we have never been given any official information at all on when Season 4 will air. So if you've seen people claiming otherwise that would be either speculation or misinformation.

ANN has a new article about the next Bookworm anime, covering LN part 3. It also mentions the short story collection due in a few days. Part of the article:
TO Books announced on Thursday that the new anime from Wit Studio of Miya Kazuki's Ascendance of a Bookworm (Honzuki no Gekokujō - Shisho ni Naru Tame niwa Shudan o Erandeiramasen) "biblia fantasy" light novel series, adapting Part 3: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, will premiere in 2026. TO Books also revealed the new anime's television series format. Along with the announcement, the light novels' third volume of short story collection (featured in posted image below) will release on December 10.
