I think it has been mentioned in the past the site is due for a rework/rewrite/redesign, any news on that?

If no such plans are there... uh I think there probably should be some work on the site done anyway for better user experience.

Like the "Titles" (Catalog) section probably worked alright when J-Novel Club only had a few titles and no manga yet, but now navigating through 80 titles (14 pages worth) to get the the older ones gets a bit tedious and a random visitor could be forgiven for thinking J-Novel Club doesn't do manga (hiding it through a dropdown menu isn't the greatest solution IMHO).

The whole experience buying premium books could also be improved. Like if you have bought a few dozen or more books, and you buy a new book with a title starting somewhere in the middle of the alphabet, you're left searching where in your Library it ended up so you can download it. First, why not simply offer it for download after buying the book? Second, please add some other options for sorting the list (like both on "Last Added" or "Just Released"). Yes I guess the Library has a "search" feature, but for some reason I always forget that when looking for a book I just bought.

Related to the above, another thing I would like to see the option to hide descriptions. These can be full of potential spoilers, if you buy several volumes at once from one series. Preferbly have the option to hide descriptions everywhere (or auto-hide behind spoiler tags) on the site: both the catalog and user library.

Yet another suggestion: I'd like much more insight in how credits are added or spent on your account, like a ledger of sorts, where you can see when credits were added (bought or the monthly free credit for premium subscribers) and and when they were spent (and on what).

Finally, notifications. I know you have a RSS feed for "Coming Soon" but I'd like more email notifications for say the following: when a series where I bought a premium book from in the past get's a new volume announced, email confirmation for the purchase of premium books, and notifications for when that premium book you preordered weeks/months earlier is finally available for download (right now you just have to remember when a book is out).

Anyway, that's it for now :) I really like J-Novel Club, but I just think there a few thinks where it could be better...

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

I agree with everything you said @GHDpro - It'd be great if your most recently purchased library items were at the top.

          Stay shiny, y'all.

Honestly though... I've lost faith in an update for the website/app...The beyond disappointing website and app have been known and acknowledged since before I became a member nearly 2 years ago, in which time there has been no significant change(other than adding a drop down to categorize LN from manga). If that could be added when manga was added to JNC then many other small but significant ~coming to UX~ updates could and should have been pushed out over the years.

I have been a member since Nov 2016 (so basically from the beginning), the site and app are practically the same, with no major updates or overhauls. It is frustrating but I as well have given up on JNC actually ever getting around to it. They have been saying for years that it is in the works 🤷🏻‍♂️. I have had to keep my own list of what I am reading. It is a little frustrating that even sites like wuxia-world (which is frustrating to navigate) have a better search and tracking function!
