Found something: the issue is connected to the broswer zoom function (not the zoom built into the reader).

I had it zoomed in to make reading on the rest of site a little easier, but as of just this week (after Monday) it forced the reader into 1 column for some reason.

It only happens when the browser, not the reader is set to a specific zoom exactly at a specific window size (unfortunately full-screen for me)

Chrome and Edge both do this under exact conditions too.

I can work around this just fine now that I know what caused it.

Refreshing the calendar page (or loading directly into it from a bookmark) results in an unsightly left-aligned "Loading" message while it loads. This doesn't happen with any of the other top-level pages. If this can't be prevented, at least center it horizontally and give it vertical margins. And maybe change it for a css spinner while you're at it.

The "Coming soon" module in the front page looks like a dog's dinner on iPad portrait. It jumps to the bottom of the page, which, fair, but it takes the whole width and it looks frankly like the css for it isn't loading. Maybe give it a full design pass for those breakpoints.
