@LegitPancake Really didnt notice that. I was redeeming some old books and thought how nice it will be for the Bonus details to be there.

As far as old books are concerned, if they have a excel or something for the books then it will be really quick for insert the details in Database. Just create a macro to generate insert statements from excel for the books. it will be really fast if the document is well organized. Many of my co-workers do the same thing.

I'm glad the bonus content is having a place on the new website. I would think it would be better though to show what the bonus content is next to each volume instead of showing it when the user hits the buy button though. Just my 2 cents.

I couldn't see this suggested, so maybe I'm just missing something; I got two requests regarding the library:

          • a way to quickly go to the series from within your library
          • a way to quickly purchase additional volumes

Also the beta website is awesome, and I generally default to browse there!

          Edit but low priority:

          • a gifting and wishlist functionality.
I currently tend to use the follow button as a sort of reminders functionality.

By The Grace of the Gods Volume 6 buy button has two Bookwalker links, and one leads to Altina the Sword Princess: Volume 7.

For volumes, the "Owned" label is overridden by "Subscribe" for non-members.

              https://beta.j-novel.club/titles/novel/invaders-of-the-rokujouma

I owned volumes 1-35 of 36. (I have since fixed that problem. 😉)

              • Volumes 1-34 showed up as "Owned", as expected.
              • Volume 36 showed up as "Subscribe", as expected.
              • Volume 35 also showed up as "Subscribe", when I would have expected it to show up as "Owned".

It seems that the premium listing for "Apothecarian Diaries" is wrong. I don't think "Allows you to read prepub parts for the whole book immediately" was intented to be put there.

And as a sidenote. I usually tend to go now to the beta website. Hopefully this layout will be soon live.

@saskir Technically that's correct right now, since all the prepub parts of Apothecary is out and hasn't expired yet.

And technically you would have the same perks when you buy it over Kobo or Amazon.

@saskir No, what I mean is if you buy the premium edition vol 1 now, you immediately get access to the prepubs (using the beta app), even if you don't have an active membership.

If you buy from Kobo/Bookwalker etc you still have to wait until the ebook release date.

@nofairytale interesting, dind't know the beta app has this feature. As I avoid anything called beta in my phone as it is also necessary for my work I did not look much at the thread about it.

I don't know what's been said, but here are my thoughts on the beta website:

                          • incredibly cluttered. It's not that there is too much information (in fact, I think very little info is presented), it's just that nothing in particular draws my eyes so I have nothing to focus on. Plus the nature of light novel titles is that the covers are so bright and colorful already... it's just very busy
                          • I think the animated banner adds to the clutter. It also makes the whole site feel like an ad
                          • Since there's an option to 'follow' a series, it would be nice for the front page to show me the series that I'm following. At least, for members, it should show the "latest updates" in prepubs like the current site does, even if it isn't filtered

If gets increasingly annoying that I have to manually reload the library for new books to appear, not sure if it's just me. I get it's a small thing, but I keep forgetting and with a library that keeps getting bigger, I keep getting more confused as I have to search for that new book.

I can’t read anything when I click on 'read now' it just sends me to '404 this page can not be found' even for series I read just a few hours ago...

When accessing the site in Safari, even after clearing JNC cookies from my cache, it automatically directs me to the old site. The new site also doesn't open the reader in Safari — it does so in Chrome, though.

My grasp on sanity remains absolute.

Oh, right, the poison, the poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's poison. ...That poison?

                                    @chocolatkey For example https://j-novel.club/titles/welcome-to-japan-ms-elf-manga links to https://j-novel.club/read/welcome-to-japan-ms-elf-manga-volume-1-chapter-1 which 404s

EDIT: Likewise https://j-novel.club/titles/the-magician-who-rose-from-failure links to https://j-novel.club/read/the-magician-who-rose-from-failure-volume-2-part-1 and 404s

EDIT: It works now. // EDIT: Or does it.

@chocolatkey well, for example this (https://j-novel.club/read/ascendance-of-a-bookworm-part-3-volume-4-part-1) gives me this instead (https://j-novel.club/404). But I just read it a few hrs ago.

EDIT: But yeah, as I said before I tried with other series and same occurrence

EDIT: It loads but no text. Just a grey stuff even after a few minutes. nvm, it’s still 404 XD

Low priority, but switching between reading manga and novel the UI element that tells you if it's ltr or rtl gets stuck on the previous value sometimes. I can't reproduce it consistently. https://i.imgur.com/lvKs06d.png https://i.imgur.com/fTarj9Q.png

                                            1. It would be nice if there was a follow/unfollow button for each title in the Titles section, instead of having to individually click into each series to follow/unfollow, or to even find out whether or not I'm currently following it.

                                            2. A "Follow Status" filter in the Titles section like there is in the Calendar section.

And also some text size/spacing options in the new reader, but that was already mentioned in the OP.

                                            Thanks.
