(New) App Feedback
-
@Xionlives : @LegitPancake is correct. There is an update to the Android app that makes that more clear, but unfortunately we still have not been able to successfully submit a new update for Android devices
-
On my Android tablet the beta app is currently not loading any of the parts nor is it allowing me to sign in or out
-
@Yoshken um nevermind it just allowed me to get in after a few minutes
-
One suggestion, not sure if it's simple or not - I guess there are a lot non native english speakers who from time to time encounter unfamiliar words, it would be nice having an option like in playbooks to long-press word, select it and have "definition" option to pop-up, or like in book-walker app, to have translate or google search option pop up. Now I can't even select to copy that text.
-
@0ose If you could at least select text you could use system-level dictionary features, but that doesn't seem possible right now, which is sad.
-
Build 0.5.0 now out for iOS, for Android hopefully soon. Changes include:
- Page margin and control region settings
- Library search keyboard properly dismissed when switching tabs
- Releases show reading progress (manga progress is not nice yet)
- Long press novel parts in volume to toggle between 100% and 0% completion
- More native iOS widgets/dialogs
-
Would be nice if y'all could add the Open Dyslexic typeface as a choice for the fonts, also make it so you can buy credits via the app would be nice as well ( I know that is probably a long way out due to both apple and android restrictions) one idea to help that would be adding the option to use things like Google pay to buy your credits with.
-
@Tiko424 We do have Andika, which isn't explicitly a dyslexia font, but seems to be well-received as a dyslexic-friendly font.
-
@myskaros yea I am currently using it it's just not as easy for me... I use open dyslexic often. And it's a free open source option.
-
Another thing that would be nice down the road is to integrate the chat feature into the app from the forms page
-
@Tiko424 The issue is that at the moment, because the opendyslexic font is not part of the Google fonts collection, adding it would require considerably more effort than the other fonts. Andika is the closest font to it in the Google fonts collection, which is why it was chosen. Adding opendyslexic is on the roadmap, but will have wait a bit until implemented some higher-priority features

Nice I totally understand how it is.. glad to know y'all are looking into it though!

Version 0.5.0 approved for Android! This is the first build in a while that's been approved for Android, so be sure to update

Several issues with the android versions.
General Issues:
The "+" button fails to disable when line spacing is maxed.
On startup the read has the incorrect font settings until the screen is touched.
Manga fail to be marked green when read 100%This issue is reproducible with the horizontal at explicitly 23% of "Are you okay with a Slightly Older Girl Friend" V1P5.
The following combination of line settings and fonts cause the reader to render incorrectly:This appears to be a rending problem as the combinations change depending on what's currently on the screen.
-
On Android version 0.5.0. App is now constantly force-closing. Started after I adjusted the font size in the reader. Even clearing cache and storage and logging out didn't help. Now it just force-closes when I attempt to log in.
-
@notmychipmunk can you please email me at chocolatkey@j-novel.club with your device information (brand, OS version, steps, maybe screenshots) so I can try to fix this? Thanks
-
Hmm, I had this wierd issue with the updated app - it displayed parts I have not read as 'read' and other parts I have read as 'not read' in the releases tab. Specifically when not showing only followed series. However after minimizing and giving it a couple mins (to look up if this error was reported here) it seems to have fixed itself.
Can't really reproduce so far but thought I'll put this here in case others also encounter this
-
Having the same thing happing but it's not fixing itself. It does display correctly in the series page, but going back to the main page it is still incorrect.
Below is an example where I have not touched Mapping LN or manga, but is showing read. Also while I have read Slightly Older GF it is showing unread.
-
@Cibastian I had the exact same issue a few days ago, and reported it with screenshots through the Feedback function of the TestFlight app. So you’re definitely not alone on that particular bug.
-
@mystyk I may be misremembering, I think it was asked not to use that method of reporting issues and to report here as the former was less likely to be seen.
