Any Toaru Kagaku no Railgun Opening

The OP from this season's Heaven's Design Team is such a fun song that always makes me smile when I hear it
At some point I'll drag out my list of favorite catchy anime songs and write them all here but since it hasn't been mentioned I'll just say that both the Kaguya-sama: Love is War first season OP Love Dramatic and second season OP DADDY! DADDY! DO! are incredible bops and some of the greatest Anime OP I've ever heard.

Let's see... for pure earworm, Raspberry Heaven from Azumanga: https://youtu.be/NBzKXP9cnIQ
For pure energy, Irresponsible Captain Tylor: https://youtu.be/H8W7eF49xv4
The Nuku Nuku OAV isn't bad, either: https://youtu.be/Oc2Z3kSUiP4
You gotta have Tank!: https://youtu.be/EL-D9LrFJd4
Too Good, Too Bad, also from Bebop, and my favorite scene where it was used: https://youtu.be/mo-c2hk_hQg (Pity about the dub. ;_; )
Then there's Mushroom Hunting... look, just listen to all of the Cowboy Bebop soundtracks, OK? https://youtu.be/Kbxq3_qDD5U
Gotta put some People Everyday in there, too... https://youtu.be/AJT3nSsLOA0
Yellow Alert! https://youtu.be/loSkhwnr4E4
If that doesn't feel right, go celtic and Open Your Mind: https://youtu.be/TZjCVufmctQ
You just can't keep a good Goddess down, Denwa Shite Daarin: https://youtu.be/QZICAJoT3WQ
Back to something on this site, Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu OP: https://youtu.be/80bkK_x-Jto
Pajama Jama Da! https://youtu.be/qJj8p5X4z0I
If we're going old school, gotta have some BGC... Konya wa Hurricane! https://youtu.be/an_0IIRDlc4
BGC was great at marrying music to action... Mad Machine! https://youtu.be/gfPzSC50JY4
Salva Nos: https://youtu.be/soGzGCxW27c
Back to something a little cheerier... Mahoro de Mambo! https://youtu.be/JA5eO13pjNo Let's give her the Triomatic cheer, too: https://youtu.be/qrsygjkao0I
Someone upthread mentioned Evangelion's main theme, but I think Misato's theme is catchier: https://youtu.be/2y0ckB_2EaA And Decisive Battle is better at catching you up in the action: https://youtu.be/4u6V6UisBz8
Read or Die is another with a 60s spy-retro feel: OAV https://youtu.be/OUdPn5o3IEI and TV OP's https://youtu.be/FunmGQGKnm0 , or the bouncy Anita, 12-sai: https://youtu.be/92DOb07Z38g
Argh, haven't mentioned Utena, but this is already getting way too long...
Not sure how 'catchy' it is, but Theatrical Version Miracle Bell seems like a good way to end: https://youtu.be/uoCJMy2Fg0E

@Travis-Butler said in Catchy Songs from Anime:

Then there's Mushroom Hunting... look, just listen to all of the Cowboy Bebop soundtracks, OK? https://youtu.be/Kbxq3_qDD5UYes definitely this. I can't believe no one has mentioned this before. The Cowboy Bebop soundtrack is one of the greatest anime soundtracks ever created, if not the best.
-
@Travis-Butler Oh, old stuff too?
Ending of Hanaukyo Maid Team Ok, the opening is ok too.
I do like the opening and two closings to the Koharu Biyori OVA.
-
Actually, speaking of stuff that goes with what's on the site here... this feels like it'd be a great theme for Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! https://youtu.be/nXNJ-6qpU6c
-
@Travis-Butler The long version of this is in my normal playlist, so I at least would have a lot of trouble associating it with another anime...
-
Suilen - Shinto Shide 2.0 (Hellsing Ultima OVA 6 Ending Song)
Clattanoia - Voracity (Overlord Season III Opening)
Yoko Kanno - Ai no rinkaku (I know I heard it first in an anime, but I can not recall where)
Sachi Tainaka - Disillusion (Fate/Stay night Opening)
Asca - Chain (Darwin's Game Opening)
Alumina - The World (Death Note Opening)
Anna Tsuchiya - Rose (Nana the Animation)
Anna Tsuchiya - Kuroi Namida (also Nana the Animation)there sure are more but those are the ones I thing first about.
-
Hitori Bocchi's - Aru Aru song is kind a catchy.
At least;
Aru aru aaaaruuuu. Gambare aaaaaarruuuuuu... and some gibberish japanese words plus aruuuuuuuuuuu.
-
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun OP and ED are both catchy.
Especially the OP Kimi ja nakya dame mitai is by Ooishi Masayoshi from OxT and it has cover versions like the OxT version, Gero x ARAKI cover, and probably others I’m not aware of.These I put on single repeat for quite few hours:
bullet - Cö shu Nie - Psycho-Pass 3 ED
LAST DANCE - Miyano Mamoru - In/Spectre ED
Goya no Machiawase - Hello Sleepwalkers - Noragami Aragoto OP
Fake town baby - UNISON SQUARE GARDEN - Kekkai Sensen 2 OP
Viva Namida - Space Dandy OPBut seriously anything by Ooishi Masayoshi is catchy.
Also MYTH & ROID (TIT FOR TAT - OP of The Overpowered Hero is Overly Cautious, especially)For last I’ll mention song which should be featured in upcoming anime movie:
Walküre - Run ni Hanasaku Koi mo Aru (single Mirai wa Onna no Tame ni Aru)- to be featured in Macross Δ Zettai Live!!!!!!
-
@custodes OMYGOD YAAS! LOVE Lisa's music! Her voice is amazing!
-
OOOOO! I like the first ending of The Promised Neverland.
-
Unravel (Tokyo Ghoul). Totally recommended.
-
Not technically from an anime but I've had Hololive member Tokoyami Towa's original song, Palette, stuck in my head for the last week; and she just released the music video for it today! It is truly beyond a masterpiece. Words fail me in talking about how incredibly awesome it is. Everyone should check it out.
-
I know, but it's still really good. Listening to it right now. ;D
-
@saskir Voracity is MYTH & ROID, actually, not Clattanoia (which is, in fact, the song by OxT that's the first opening for Overlord).
-
@TheGrimLich Man, I forgot about the Overlord themes. It's been a while since I've seen it.
-
@TheGrimLich Argh Right. And I even have from Myth and Roid the album "Museum - The best of Myth & Roid" here. Strangely I though about Clattatonia because I just played the song after reading this thread.
-
@noticemesempai Just thinking about Myth & Roid makes me want to listen to the Overlord songs again. And the one used in Re:Zero. I think I might want to re-watch Overlord, since like you it's been a while, but I figure this time I'll know which parts to skip so that the CGI in S2&3 doesn't bug me too much.
