Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka? / I am a spider, So what?

About LN anime adaptation I don't fuss about cut content since I just watch to see the characters animated and voiced over. In regards to "Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka?" I felt that that spider is just too cute! it makes me want a pet spider, the seiyuu is very talented it feels like she is having tons of fun with her character. My only complaint is that Kumoko is not using her catch phrase "Naiwa" well she used it once but come on! it so iconic with the fans that can use it a bit more.
Still thou I am already attached to Kumoko the show has done nothing to make me sympatise to Shun and his gang. m. Unlike Kumoko we did not see them growing or seen any of their struggles. I am conflicted about this since they do need more screen time but I am happy that the show is mostly focusing on the spider.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the show so far, but it does feel that they skipped some important details in the human side. They'll probably still return to some of them though.

heavy spoiler alert:
If you read the manga: that skips the side character stories completly. It worked out well (thou it isn't at a point where the side characters get relevant yet), but I'm not so sure the way of the anime of cutting out some important parts is a good way. I think it drops the rewatch value of the anime.

Overall I think it's a good adaptation so far. I don't mind the glossing over the human side stuff right now as it means we'll get to my favorite parts of LN sooner.
I really hope we get a second season, cause that's when things get really interesting.

@renofury IMO she's using the nai wa just fine. I feel like people overplay it when talking about the series. It's definitely her catchphrase but she doesn't say it nearly as much as people make it out to be. It's not like Naruto's dattebayo that comes up every 2 sentences.
Maybe it's something lost in translation?? I can remember a few times she clearly said it and the subtitles just glossed over it as a run-of-the-mill negative statement. They should've done like Yen Press and pick a stock translation for it. At the very least I can tell in the novels that any time the word "Unreal" comes up, it's a Nai wa~

Well some of the Nai wa~s are lost to the presentation as animes tent to omit content. If I remember correctly it also is used more often in later volumes (thou thats just what I recall from memory which is not the best source :D). But with crunchy doing the subs one shouldn't expect accuracy which goes for speech patterns, naming and a lot of other stuff. So it's more about hearing instead of reading ;)

@paulnamida I recentley reread vol 1 to 10, on the spider chapters thou. And noticed that in the LN Kumoko said naiwa less often than I remembered. How it was used often in the WN making it iconic for me
