Does a harem even exist in "Goblin Slayer"?
-
Most of the sites I go to for information says there it has the "Harem" genre in it and yet I don't see it or any trace of one, and for their too even be a harem is their even a romantic relationship?
-
@ruby-eye well there is more than one girl that likes him romantically but Goblin Slayer cares not for romance only killing goblins...
So it's not really Harem but is in the way modern anime fans issue the term
-
Well any woman caught by the goblins gets her own green reverse harem.

The anime did a good job of conveying that.
Cute elf girl: Lets go to (fun place)!
GS: Are there goblins there? -
Honestly, with his one track minded personality and thought processes, until the last of tee little green critters is buried there will be no peace. But that is not to say if a heroine was bold enough that he would not "accidentally" have a family.

Warrior woman: we should start a family together!
GS: Are there goblins there?
WW: No, no -- if we start a family, you can raise them to kill goblins!
GS: OK

If Goblin slayer had a harem, wouldn't the girls all be named Harem Girl?
-
No, I don't think that Goblin Slayer has any harem, but it does have some nudity, which I'm fine with.
-
But no harem.
-
I think that if a "Harem" exists depends on how you define the term/trope.
I've watched the anime (but have not read the LN/Manga)...but based on what I saw and how I interpret the term/trope...yes there is a harem, there are multiple women interested in the MC (they are not necessarily aware of each other, and the affections are all apparently one-sided) so not the typical 'competing for the mc's heart' trope, instead almost seems like (multiple) illustrations of "what could've been" if the MC wasn't so single-minded/driven to exterminate goblins -
@ruby-eye Does the Goblin Slayer's orgy of violence count? On a more serious note, does an unrequited romance count as a romance? The Priestess, Elven Archer, and the Sword Maiden all have feelings for him. Multiple romances are aimed Goblin Slayer's way.

Sword Maiden: Come to bed with me!

GS: <stabs sword maiden> -
@harmlessdave Either way, he brings his unsheathed weapon to bed. :P

@harmlessdave Lol
Needs to read Volume 1 of GS, then see if he will get the other volumes -
I'm not sure what a spirit possessed suit of armor could do with a harem.
(Come on, is he ever shown without the armor on? Sentient armor) -
Goblin Slayer reminds me of another single minded individual (several of them, actually) that wouldn't recognize a romantic overture if the girl was waiting for him in bed naked.
Did everyone forget the farm girl as a potential harem member?

There are 5 women who are interested in Goblin Slayer but only Cow Girl has a real chance. He knows she loves him but he's afraid to start a family with her because his enemies would target his family and he doesn't want that. He has said, more or less, that as long as there are Goblins having a future with Cow Girl would be "complicated".
Not sure what Priestess feels for him, not sure if it's love or if he's just the rock she leans on to be able to handle the horrible world she lives in. She might just see him as an older brother type for her.
High Elf Archer just finds him fascinating, but does she love him? She denies it but sure acts like a woman in love sometimes so who knows.
Guild Girl definitely wants him but also seems to understand that she can't have him exclusively, wasn't it her who suggested to the other girls that they "share" him? Cow Girl wasn't too thrilled about the idea but as long he came home to her, she said she might consider it. I do not expect a harem ending. -
@weasalopes He showed his face so he's not like Skeleton Knight, who has to hide.

Just his face?
As in, lifting up the visor on his helm?
Talking heads with who knows what below, if anything...
Or a completely illusionary visage.Pics with no armor at all, or he's some form of Eldritch Abomination, I say!
