@Hakomari Yea, I've made it my mission to harass them several times a month either over twitter or their forums asking them why they haven't killed that stupid policy yet. All it does is bottleneck light novels for no reason. By the way, they also don't allow "novels" but don't remove the ones already on their database like Hyouka (Classics Club Series). I learned of this when I tried adding the your name. novel adaptation of the movie which came out in English from YP.

I say, they should either have only anime on their database or anime and all types of source material. It is unfair to favor manga and ignore all the other types of literature. The website is not called my manga list so there is no reason to have manga in the database either.
Well, I guess they will have to adjust their policy when the Light Novel industry is larger in the future. All I can do for now is to add stuff and wait for them to approve it (That is a type of harassment too, right?)

If you're keeping track of which books you've read/own, you could always use something like Goodreads - you can log light novels and manga there. There's a group for light novel readers as well. :relaxed:

@Hakomari no, wait what? 😅😂 What I meant are, they're are people out there-Including me- who are missing out on good LNs because they never knew they existed. Though I'm sure a daily dose of me would make the population happier ;)

I prefer the more weeb-y MAL and Novel Updates. Using non-weeaboo websites is like going outside for a walk for me - So a big no-no!

@Catscope As Sean said, yes there were only 3 insert illustrations for this volume.
It's back to 10 for volume 3, though.
Technically the "Proverbs" that we get at the end of 4 chapters were images in the original Japanese editions. But they didn't have any illustrations, just some typesetting, so I decided to put them as ebook text instead of images so they could be read easily.
I suspect that the illustrator blew a deadline. It happens!

@Hakomari Haha, fair enough! I also use Novel Updates but only to keep on top of fan releases - I'm not very keen on how they handle licenced material. I've not tried MAL but from the way it's posted about here, I think I'll stick to Goodreads... :sweat_smile:

Hello Sam, I saw in Sean's posts that there was going to be an update to volume 1 to change some character names, may I inquire when will that update be sent out? It's just that Kobo needs customers to contact their customer to manually update books to latest versions, it's not automatic like Amazon. So, I'd rather not bother their reps before knowing for sure that there is an update to be made. Thank you very much!
