Please Make it Easier to Discover Bonus Content
-
At one point I saw a post on the forums trying to list all of the bonus content available when purchasing books through J-Novel as opposed to their outlets. However, I am not sure how well that is maintained as there a 1-2 series I was thinking about purchasing to eventually re-read. But I can't find a good source for what bonus content might be available.
Is it possible to have a pop-up on the website once the book is published? You already have an icon listed there saying if the book has bonus content, just not what it is.
Alternatively, how about including it in the description within the app? Each book has a description of its contents, writer, translator, release date, etc... How about adding a field for a description of the bonus content. It can even be a symbol overview such as Illustrations, Translator Notes, or Bonus Stories.

@kurzaa
I'm pretty sure this is on the list of "things that would be nice, but can't happen until the full back-end overhaul is completed."As for the list on the forums , its maintained by the staff, so you can consider it both definitive and up-to-date.
EDIT: The pop-up box for buying it actually has this already.

Note that the popup piisfun is referring to is a manual entry data field that didn't exist prior to the new website, so for many old volumes it hasn't been filled out yet. I would continue to refer to the forum topic for definitive answers, particularly if a certain volume doesn't have the "*Premium Bonus Content" tag on the series&volume page.

@piisfun this is perfect, exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you for pointing that out to me.
Fortunately I am most interested in purchasing the newer series where this content should already have been populated. Unfortunately, all of the dahlia in bloom bonus content appears to be translation notes rather than stories. Not quite my cup of tea (or brand of alcohol considering the series).

Will throw in a few coins as well: Current way of discovering what exactly in premium content is not optimal from UX perspective. I'd even say it's pretty bad, as it's not obvious where details are presented. Obviously I talk only for ones which have the premium content field filled out (I'd expect ones with missing fields to be slowly filled out over time as admin time permits).
Since data is already available to page renderer (otherwise it won't show the premium content icon), I'd suggest adding a hover tooltip (akin to one when you hover over the part link) that mirrors the information shown when you press buy or at the very least add a
title
attribute for use of native OS tooltip. For mobile-friendliness first one is better with a behavior to appear on touch.
This is pretty minor issue and definitely not a priority, but as someone who spent way too much time improving UX in various programs such minor problems tick me off, all thanks to profdeformation. :)
