The ideal sponger life - volume 7?
-
I'm assuming "finally" means finally approval to start work since nothing's on the calendar yet (that we can see at least) lol.
-
@jpwong It is very after hours for all our staff right now, so I assume that "finally" was infused with the feeling of "I'm checking my email at weird hours and holy cow!"
-
@myskaros Yeah that's what I was thinking, not sure how much pre-work you're allowed to do on these types of things if you haven't been given the final ok yet.
-
@myskaros Gee, 9:30 PM Central is after hours? You mean you're not operating out of Hawai'i?
-
@jpwong Ya, the question is whether we now have to wait for the translator and editor to free up, or if work was done at-risk (as they call it in government contracting circles)
-
@bfennema You'll just have to see when we start releasing.
-
@admin Hopefully the wait isn't too much longer. My finger is getting really tired from spamming F5 for the last 6 months!
-
@bfennema Just keep an eye out around here on Tuesdays. Since there's no reason for them to move the previously scheduled release date if anything's going to happen it will happen then.

@Sam-Pinansky I glad to hear that the problem is not with J-novel. Thanks and good work (when you get to start working it).
Just saying that much seems to be risky from what I understand.
Western audiences are more likely to start up letter writing and petition creation to attempt to force a person, group, or company etc to “do something”.
From my understanding Japanese companies detest being pressured, and are more likely to shut down a license then speed up its release.
The problem with this is that as fans we are more likely to just buy whatever the new licence is down the road… and they’d likely start from scratch (vol 1) with new covers, and additional content. Resulting in needing to buy yet more volumes.
Don’t think it can’t happen, I was an avid reader of a 30 book series a few years ago and they jumped between 4 publishers in 5 years, or so it felt. You either end up a mishmashed bookshelf for covers or even harder to follow with how they’ve done some of the story.
