We're proud to announce two new series we'll be publishing, starting today!

Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, and I Saved Too Many Girls and Caused the Apocalypse!

Both series have free previews now you can read, and we'll be putting up a new part each Friday for J-Novel Club Members every week!
Grimgar is one of the best examples of a realistic portrayal of what it would be like to have to survive in a world built just like an RPG... And don't forget the awesome anime earlier this year!
I Saved Too Many Girls and Caused the Apocalypse! (Let's just call it Little Apocalypse for now) is a super long running series from Hobby Japan, with more than 16 volumes that are chock full of basically every kind of genre you can think of! All played for laughs and a fun time.

Fantastic stuff, especially with Grimgar. I've been waiting for a series to really catch my eye before subscribing and this is probably going to be it. Thanks for licensing it, can't wait to see what else is on the table!

When will the volumes be ready for purchase on things like I books and such? I prefer to have something I feel like I own.

This is great! I can't wait to read Grimgar. So volume 1 will be out on December 16th to purchase on Kindle, but (roughly) what is the planned release schedule of the remaining volumes? Thanks!!

@Tim-Soong Like most of our books, we are striving for a 2-month release cycle, so expect vol. 2 to be available as an e-book in Feb.

Looking forward to them. Especially Grimgar since I'm really into the "go/drawn to another world" genre right now. While I liked it overall, the anime seemed a little slow and felt like there was a lot of stuff left out. I'm curious what else happened and what will come further down the road in the story.

I'm an INTJ so I'm always the bad guy.

@gocav I feel like I'm the only one that liked the slowness of the anime =/
Just wish it continued and kept going along with the light novel.

                              (Btw how to make spoiler?)

How many volumes Grimgar have atm? And is there any delay / wait time which must be met /required from the Japanese publisher before you can start working on the latest chapters (when you have caught up with the Jpn release)? For example, 1 month after the original publication on Japan.

They've said they are trying to get a new volume each 2 months. Grimgar has 9 volumes currently and it is a ongoing series so there might be a few more before we catch up.

With the most recent volume having come out in August, Grimgar currently has nine volumes at the moment.
I wouldn't expect Overlap to require any sort of delay on the most recent volumes once we catch up, since there aren't any fears of reverse importation like there are with, say, anime Blu-Rays.

@Fezu Yes, 2 months per volume so it'll probably be sometime in 2018 before we catch up.
@Sean-McCann I see. I was just curious about such thing. Thanks for the answer. :)

@Bryan It's probably because it's a 12 ep. series that makes me feel that way. It just left me hungry for so much more. I think I may have gotten too used to the short series that are produced now, but the pace seems more fitting for a 26+ episodes season like "back-in-the-day". This is why I can't wait to read the novels.

I'm up to volume 4 with the novels, and I got to tell you I find the pacing for this whole thing just right. If it was any faster it would ruin the character developments.

@Bryan I agree with the pacing of the anime and books. I admit that it does seem a tad slow, (more so during the anime) but once it gets going it really helps with the character development.
