      A terrible and depressing story, imagine being isekai only to be murdered soon after you arrive. Seems that on this world, some Japanese people who are summoned there go mad with power and have, in the past, caused all kinds of trouble. So the Church has decided to ban summoning and kill anyone who is summoned. It's so popular though that they need full time executioners to keep up. While I'm sure some isekai, if OP, would go mad with the power but I find that idea uninteresting and sad. I give the story a big thumbs down.

        @Folker46
        I would highly suggest you read the light novels before judging.

          I've been watching the anime (never read the novels) and it's actually vastly intriguing. And the very ideas you are complaining about get challenged within the show for the same reasons you're pointing out. A horrible starting premise doesn't mean the series is condoning the status quo of that premise, often the series will try to overcome that premise or prove how wrong it is over the course of the series.

            @pcj I looked it up on the fanwiki and it pretty much has the same answer, the "outsiders" will lose control of their powers eventually and the longer they are alive the stronger the effect. The logic of the story is they MUST be killed even though they have done nothing wrong and are innocent people. Yeah the MC feels bad about doing it but it's her job so...
            I find this story idea repulsive and way to dark for me. That it got an anime amazes me when better stories don't.
            Like SEKAINOHATE DE AIMASHOU, very funny and needs an anime.

              @Folker46 I don't think you're going to find many people here who agree with you. We assume you made a forum topic to discuss this, so please be open-minded enough to believe the people who are taking the time to respond to you.

              If you're just going to believe what a wiki tells you over what people who have actually read the books or watched all of the available episodes say in response, then why bother starting a discussion here?

              Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

                You know nothing more than the barest surface of volume 1. Ever heard the saying don't judge a book by it's cover?
