Everything seems to be getting anime recently...
It's a golden age! -
There's even an full animated PV that has been released!
This the best news I've heard all week!
Furthermore, they have Silver Link as the studio! They are the exact studio I would have picked to adapt the light novel into an anime! Given the good job they did on both the Bofuri and Bakarina anime, I have full confidence in their ability to properly adapt Mia in all her glory

To quote from Monty Python and the Holy Grail:
"There was much rejoicing." -
I want to watch this idiot! I definitely want to watch this idiot!
Anne is going to be so cute in motion.
-
So far they've announced that Mia is Sumire Uesaka (Nagatoro from Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro; Shalltear Bloodfallen from Overlord; Chloe from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid). I wonder who the rest of the cast is going to be...
-
I'm wondering what they're going to use as the plot. Probably the first 2 volumes? I feel like you could make the first volume a season, but the first two volumes taken as a whole has a really nice arc and satisfying ending.

This announcement just caused my Mia-itis to flare up!

Or they could do the first four novels in 24 episodes? I mean Mia can make it happen.
-
@Planguy It'll either be the first volume or the first two volumes (or the first volume and the first half of the second). I really can't see them going too far beyond the Princess and the Guillotine at the very beginning, with maybe the Revolution in Remno being covered at most, and they're almost certainly not going to adapt the Lodestar Girl at the very start.
-
@TheGrimLich Series composition is being handled by Akao Deko, who's been a veritable workhouse in the industry lately and a veteran of many years. I'd be very surprised if she doesn't cover the first two volumes. Granted, given how much budget they're planning to spend (that is, whether it's one or two cours), she might decide to cap it at volume one and give each scene more time to breathe. If there are only 13 episodes, I wouldn't be against taking it slow.
Also, the Tearmoon author straight up said he originally planned to finish the story at the end of volume 2. Judging by his track record, he's written mostly shorter pieces, so he probably intended for Tearmoon to be something similar.
Until it blew up and now he's not allowed to stop anymore. Heh.
The first two volumes is very well-written and contains plenty of scenes that adapt very well to anime, so assuming no production SNAFUs, I think everyone can look forward to a pretty solid series.
Excellent news all around.

All hail the Sage of the Empire. I'm totally ready to be Mia-fied!
Very much looking forward to this. I hope they make generous use of the narrator but the narrator's shark is one of the best things.
-
I want to know how they portray the narrator. Standard deep voice?
-
@Planguy I hope they get a Female VA, like what they did with Ookami-san and her seven companions; if they can get her, that would be amazing!

ha, i really noticed that with bakarina where after the friendship ending the story started to stagnate rather heavily, however not with tearmoon.
so far i haven't really felt any drop in quallity and i'm really invested on the overall plot, really surprised to hear everything outside of volume 2 wasn't planned. -
@Lily-Garden Yeah, I'd like that. Might play into the theory that the narrator is future Mia, which is a theory I like. Don't think it is likely, though. But it would be hilarious.
-
The show justified its existence just with the guillotine clip!
This has me more than a little hopeful for the rest of the series! -
Oh boy! Here we go! I can't wait to see our favorite little princess sweating it out as she tries to avoid a beheading that is lurking around every corner of her life. I just hope that the animators do a decent job with this one.
-
if I remember correctly, it was 'princess and the guillotine(1.5 volumes)', 'renmo revolution(0.5 volume)', then 'lodestar girl(3+ volumes)', right? I'm guessing they'll do princess and the guillotine, and then probably tease the revolution, with maybe a bit of foreshadowing for lodestar girl and maybe
