      volume 1
Alt titles: Waga Homuraen ni Hirefuse Sekai, Homuseka, 我が焔炎にひれ伏せ世界, Homuseka: The Devil's Castle, Burning by my Flame the World bows down
      Author: Sumeragi Hyoko
      Artists: Mika Pikazo, Mocha
      Volumes: 1 (ongoing)
      Publisher: Kadokawa (Sneaker Bunko)
Synopsis: (If I dare, I want to burn something. ......) Homura, who has a desire to burn something, is invited to another world.

There, a group of similarly weird high school girls are gathered, and it seems that they are asked to "save this world" with their special talents?

The Demon King returns for the first time in a century, and the villains take advantage of the chaos to spread. The fate of the world is in the hands of the girls, who are determined to correct a world in turmoil.

'Are you an evil person? Then I can burn you without a care in the world!"

Burning is the right thing to do! Incineration is ecstasy!

What will happen to Homura, a beautiful, regrettable girl who conquers the world with overwhelming firepower?

The first "Grand Prize" winner of the Sneaker Grand Prize in 12 years. Another world comedy by the strongest flame girl!

Comments: Even though it only just released recently (or is going to release), it has a bit of pedigree to it - it’s the first winner of the Sneaker Bunko grand prize (a contest to find new LN properties?) in the last 12 years. The prior grand prize winner was Konosuba.

Anyway, from what I can tell it definitely looks interesting. Art from the character designer of the new Fire Emblem game, a protagonist who is like Megumin if she had an arson fetish. If YP doesn’t pick this up, it might be in JNC’s wheelhouse.

I can tell you just from the cover that the author name is Sumeragi Hiyoko (https://twitter.com/sumeragihiyoko).
From there is can see that this title even has an official Twitter account: https://twitter.com/homuseka
        Official site: https://sneakerbunko.jp/series/homuseka/

It’s not up for preorder on BookWalker yet, but it comes out on the 1st of December.

That preview video doesn’t give you much but man it’s been a long time since I’ve heard anything new from Aya Hirano.

I literally only heard of this because Kadokawa thought it was a good idea to thaw the rotting corpse of Haruhi out to advertise this. I guess it worked but it just made me feel disgust.

As for the whole contest thing... due reminder that Kadokawa brought The Sneaker back very recently (it was dead from 2011 and got a special issue for their 25th anniversary in 2018 and I'm not exactly sure when it resumed regular publication).

@anizawa I can't find anything newer than The Sneaker Legend in 2018.

Oh, that's definitely the case. I have no doubt that they set this up because they desperately want a Konosuba 2.

But at the very least, if it really is good, JNC can prepare to snatch it up.

In that case... wouldn't Yen Press do it, considering their history with Sneaker Bunko works?
