While I admit it got off to a good start, the story gets progressively boring. The manga is uninspiring and reveals some very dirty secrets about the Rembrandt company. Basically, they are scum who murdered their way to the top. That the MC works with them makes me sick, it would be like opening a business in Mexico while working with the cartels. My problem with the MC is that even if he knew, he wouldn't care.

For all intents and purposes, the MC is a monster. He gives off the impression of a monster and can only speak monster.

Then there's the fact that he was abducted from his world and his sweetheart by a goddess who ultimately cursed him into being that aforementioned monster.

So, if that and what you mentioned makes Tsukimichi trash, then I guess Tsukimichi is trash.

@Folker46 That's disappointing to hear. The anime was a lot of fun, and I would have welcomed the opportunity to discover what happens next. I guess I should just enjoy it for what it is.

Gate was like that, sadly. For all it's jingoism and pro-military propaganda, the anime was nevertheless a blast. But the continuation I could find was just boring and lacked the elements that made it fun for me.

@Folker46 If you think that is bad dont ever look up the history of the fruit industry, the circuit board industry in china, or any of the old trading companies from 1600-1900. Rembrandt is a pipsqueek compared to any of them.
