Is there a way to enable 2 column view in the Android J-Novel club app?
The website has 2 column view, but it seems like the app doesn't?

@Leon_97 There actually is an option for 2 column view, but it only shows up in horizontal mode, and I think you need a device wide enough for it to work. My phone unfortunately is not wide enough to confirm if 2 column mode can actually display in that format on a phone.

@jpwong I have a tablet and I'm reading horizontal, so I'm not sure why it's not showing up for me...

It's not in the settings. There are buttons that say "1" and "2" on the bottom right next to the progress bar, but they don't seem to do anything when I tap them.

@Leon_97 That should actually be the button since it seems like the reader pretty much works exactly like the web site (if you shrink your browser on the web site down to the dimensions of a phone then it does exactly the same thing as in the app for the most part).

It's possible it's just not working correctly in the app. I can't imagine a lot of people put their device into a mode where they would want to use two column in the first place.

@jpwong I tried on my iPad, Amanda the 1 2 switch only seems to affect manga, not novels, unfortunately. It also only shows up for novels if you choose pagination rather than infinite scrolling.

This is a feature I’d really love for tablets. I like how the Kindle app has done it as it’s much better line lengths for larger screens. At this point with the current app, I read novels on my phone and manga on the iPad due to having either too long a line length or too big a font on the iPad.
