@terrence
Mixed bathing is also about to catch up. (again)
Infinite Dendrogram is 2 volumes away from catching up.
Clockwork Planet is also one volume away from being caught up. Sadly no volumes have come out in Japan in almost 2 years.

@aruseus493

I doubt we will catch up to Dendro though. They release like 5 volumes a year and there is like 10 more to go in the WN.

Aruseus493

@hakomari

Eh~, I think we probably will catch-up at some point. J-Novel Club publishes at a 2-2.5 month rate which is faster than the Japanese Light Novel publication. If Hobby Japan manages to keep up a regular schedule of a volume every 2-3 months, J-NC will probably constantly stay right up at that caught up line when it does catch up. (Similar to how J-Novel Club was technically caught up with Mixed Bathing for about 2 days.) We're about to hit the 2 month line from when volume 5 came out in Japan and I'm not seeing a volume 6 announcement on Hobby Japan's site.

@carolinefelicity Thank you! I wouldn’t have figured that out on my own. This is a great deal too, like three months free

Serious question, but can Sam increase the maximum number of credits you can buy at once?

I seriously want to load up on 50+ credits during this sale to last me till next year and I'm worried that my bank may block my card as suspicious if they suddenly see so many small transactions all at once.

Edit : was just informed that they've increased to number you can buy at once to 100x

corp20

Well guess I'll have to buy 20 of them and see how long that lasts.

Terabyte

I've got still quite a few series I want to read. Time to count all the volumes out for them (in Japan) and buy those credits and some more as reserve then...

cimmadif

Of course, I just bought 6 credits a few hours ago.
I'll just have to buy some more at the sale price now.

pleco_breeder

Just curious, but is there not a membership deal this year?

Terabyte

@pleco_breeder Only discounted credits and a free trial for new users this time around it seems.

Now that you are licensing Manga, do you think that the number of LN license in 2019 will drop compared to 2018? or you…

We'll definitely put out more LN in 2019 than we did in 2018.

@terrence I'm wondering, the question was about licences, but the answer seemed to be about volumes, or am i just reading to much into the wording of it...

Village Idiot

@timmaaah Well as each title gets closer and closer to the Japanese release, they'll eventually catch up.

The translators/new translators may be assigned to work on new titles and return whenever a new volume gets released, which depending on the title could mean 2-4 a year.

This means there will be more and more volumes being released until a title is completely finished.

It definitely reads like "more volumes" to me, not necessarily "more licenses" than 2018. But, either way, it's probably a good sign that we'll be getting more volumes again this year (I'm sure there will be a few series that will wrap or we'll catch up to that they'll need to replace). =)

Thomask

@terabyte I really should read the posts more carefully... I just went to share the original posts offers on social media...

Glad to see the trial offer isn’t a fake out however.
