Yes, everything was sent in one file. I included an outline of file contents at the top of the file for clarity.

@RoanFlink said in JNC Writing Support Group:
@RoanFlink Did you compile the manuscript and supporting details into one file?
It must be one file, according to the rules:
For the ongoing series category, you MUST include in the same file as your manuscript a plot outline and character summaries for the full story you plan to write. This should be no more than 10,000 additional words.

@jazzyjeoff Thank you for the reply

After polishing the same 60000 words for what feels like an eternity, it feels good to get back to working on the rest of the story! It is moving more quickly than I thought—not exactly a broken dam flood of writing, but much better than writer’s block!
(I am always up for reader-reviewers, if anyone is up for a villainess-returns-to-youth-for-revenge-turned redemption-story-played-straight send me a note!)

Woo! Hoo! Riding the wave! 15 new chapters! Well, whatever happens with the contest, I will be ready for something. If anyone has ideas for publishing, let me know. I have done Royal Road, Archive of Our own and Watt Pad for fan fiction. But this would be my first original work.
If it is long enough, I could look at Web Novel @LeeroyCGNA has had a lot of success with that. But adapting for format will be a pain. Anyway, if anyone wants to read, let me know!

@jazzyjeoff If you're looking at Royal Road there are a few good guides out there to make it big. My new novel is doing alright at the moment, though definitely not the best.
Check out this guide by a top author on the platform: https://www.royalroad.com/forums/thread/116847

@LeeroyCGNA You switched from Webnovel? Is your original story ongoing or did it conclude. If my story isn’t selected here, I am guessing RR will be best, and I might have enough words in the bank by then—I know that I am unable to write at your pace, so I would probably need a very big buffer to make a go of it. I wonder if I should post under a new username, since I only posted less polished fanfiction on it before (it is fanfiction that I am very proud of, and a similar genre, but not written as a commercial work).
I spent the morning at the link you provided—it is almost intimidating—but mostly, I just want to have my story read (money would be good mostly to justify why I spend so much time working on something that my partner does not support).

Just got my first note on my Tearmoon fanfic from a non-native English speaker. Made my day!
In Russian:
“Мне очень нравится, на моем родном языке нет фанфиков по этому фандому, но этот в разы лучше, такое чувство словно я читаю оригинальную новелу”Translation:
“I really like it, there are no fanfics on this fandom in my native language, but this one is much better, it feels like I'm reading an original novel”Now, if I could only get one in Japanese, it might make my month!

@jazzyjeoff Still ongoing on webnovel since its my main income. At almost 800k words right now, with another 400k or so to go.
Buffer is good, especially if you want to maximize growth and potential profits from patreon. I only have 16 members at the moment for a total of $120 or so a month, but the real money should come when the story goes to Amazon/Audible (or so I hope).
I made the mistake of jumping the gun and not having too many chaps buffer. So now I am suffering writing and releasing chapters daily for two books lol.
