Insert images at beginning

I just realized I we never got the insert images at the beginning of volume 1 as subscribers. Is there a reason we aren't getting the insert images?
I personally find that I was less inclined to buy the ebook of series I don't see many pictures of the characters, since I feel less attached to them.
Is there a chance for all volume ones to start getting the picture inserts or at least have a section for them on each new volume of every series? -

But I do have a tip if you want to see them. Copy down the Japanese title of the book (which can be found on its page). Go to Bookwalker's JP site. Paste the name into the search and hit enter. Then click on the preview tab once on the book's page (Looks like a book on mobile; on browser, just click the cover once you're on it's page). Voila!
It's an extra step, but if you just want to see the color images without owning the books through actual digital purchase, it's an option. I kind of like not having them on the prepubs since they spoil stuff (but now that I know I can search them out legally, it's tempting to peek).

@bryan Pretty sure they aren't usually called insert images.
As for reasons, it must be some combination of following:
- Web reader and an app don't display wide images well (and even inserts may not work too well)
- Almost all color illustrations require typesetting and maybe even cleaning
- Good portion of illustrations contain quotes from mid-volume so you can't even translate those until you get there
- Spoilers!
- Buy full volumes!

It's good ole' fashioned product segmentation!
Primary benefits of buying full epubs are:
- Ownership: They won't just disappear on you (barring any DRM but that's the fault of the store not our fault).
- Better proofreading: We do at least 2 final QA passes on them before putting out the final epubs, meaning less typos/problems from the prepub versions.
- Higher Quality insert images and inclusion of Frontmatter images: Images in the epubs are 1400p (or whatever the resolution of the store you buy them from gives you... Amazon is much lower quality depending on your device, etc...
And we include the color matter in the front (as well as any other extra images in the back that might be part of the JApanese ebook release like illustrator's afterward, etc).
Prepubs don't get color frontmatter illustrations, sorry!
Also, those illustrations are usually spoilerific! Putting them right in part 1 would be an issue in my opinion.

What I do is read check out the preview of the books I’ve read on Amazon. It includes the translated images at the beginning, and it’s free!
