      volume 1

      Alt title: 魔女に首輪は付けられない

      Author: Yume Yume
Artist: Mian (? Tried to translate 緜)
      Volumes: 1 (published Feb 2024)
      Publisher: Kadokawa

Synopsis: Witchcraft, which was monopolized by the aristocracy, became popular, and the crime rate skyrocketed. As a countermeasure, the Imperial Bureau of Witchcraft Crime Investigation was established.

Rogue, an investigator, is transferred to the Sixth Precinct through the machinations of his boss Veradonna. It was a department that investigated witchcraft cases with a witch who once brought disaster to the Imperial Kingdom.

Witches who were imprisoned because they had the power to bring disaster, and their magical power was limited by the "collar". However, the witches, including the "puppet demon" Miseria, wield the rogue without care.

"What are you going to do, Rogue-kun?"

Fantasy action at the mercy of a charming witchy sidekick!

Comments: Main reason for posting this one is that it won first prize in Kadokawa's Dengeki Novel Awards. I can see why: magic cops are always a good springboard for writing.

Granted, because it won grand prize for Kadokawa I wholeheartedly expect Yen Press to swoosh down and nab it before anyone can blink, like a seagull going after a lone potato chip. But you know what? I might as well suggest it anyway. At least we can try.
