@sorvani The issue is that it's a log-in-type site. If you're logged in, it works great. If not, not so much. After I logged in, it let me see the graphics is motion. Now, I'm not logged in, and I get a broken image.

@SomeOldGuy I'm pretty confident I don't have a yarn.co account but it's playing fine for me, unless you mean you need to be logged into the forums for it to display correctly.

The image embed isn't working for me either. Suffice to say whatever site (yarn.co?) isn't great for hotlinking.
Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

Thank you for taking the time to update us on the situation.
As for the software update - I think it's great that J-Novel is devoting resources to improving and maintaining the software. That's much better than not doing that. I also am glad that J-Novel Club is not a company that works people to the bone and demands overtime and weekends. Work-life balance is precious.

@strangeattractor I think this is essentially the last of the major overhauls that they've been working on that started way back when they redesigned the site, deployed the new reader, API endpoints and switched from credits to coins, so these upgrades have been in the works for a long time.

Bright side, it can't be as bad as, say, your parent company taking control of your Apple account when they acquired you, then years later forgetting to pay Apple after firing the guy responsible for it, getting your legacy apps yanked from the App Store right after you sell another customer on the system.
....Brightest idea to come out of that group was "Hey, why don't you manage your own Apple account?" ...Yeah, why don't we.

The weather should have been our first clue. The morning we were scheduled to begin the final segment of our major update was colder than the norm for the season. Gusts of wind whipping every which way were spinning the fall leaves around in miniature twisters up and down the streets as we made our way into the office.

If this was server maintenance, couldn't jnovel have updated half of the servers while keeping the other half online. Then once the maintenance was done with the first half and confirmed to be working, switch to upgrading the last half?
Doing it that way should prevent any down time.

@SomeOldGuy - Big deal. I went 8.5 days without power, water, internet or cell phone (apps) service in July after hurricane Beryl ravaged the Texas Gulf Coast. That meant no JNC, Crunchy Roll, Hidive, Netflix, Manga Park, Anime News Network, Reddit, Fandom, You Tube, etc. If this old man can do it, so can you so hang in there Bro.
