      This behavior is still going on for both the website and applications; on my desktop I've currently got two cookies that expire in twelve days and a separate one that expires in April (why?). Sessions should never expire unless the user changes their password. (Also, MFA should be available instead of a password, but not necessary since the password is protecting almost nothing of value and everyone's got a password manager now.)
