They did a good job in season one of leaving only a little bit of Rentt's scatterbrained rambling while fitting in as much of the story as possible.

Hopefully it won't be like Demon Lord Retry S2 where the team changed and the art style went downhill, or Fruit of Evolution S2 where they threw away the LN story to focus on dumb slapstick and poop jokes.

This is the only reason it succeeded. The original was NOT suited for an anime adaption without this type of change.

The LN is not really suited to reading by parts either because of the rambling. I have to read it all in a go.

@sorvani Which is why I switched from the LN to the manga

“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

@Lily-Garden The manga is definitely easier to follow than the LN. I also enjoyed the anime (season 1), and I'm looking forward to season 2.
