What are you reading for Manga?

I picked up Inuyashiki. Meh. It almost reads like the old, crotchety author is trying to take revenge on those who demeaned his work on social media. 😛
Outside of that, I just don't feel too attached to the cast right now, and I don't know that I love the direction it is going in. Volume 1 was solid, but everything up to volume 7 has been lacking for me.

I rented the first volume from the library. Pretty lighthearted, art is decent (though not amazing outside of the food drawings), and there's a lot of panels to a volume. =)
Restaurant in Another World
You going to read the novel too? I'm waiting for that one to get picked up stateside.

The Truth is I am only reading the Manga to restaurant in another world since Crunchyroll picked it up. otherwise I would just be waiting for the light novels too.Although now that i think about it I am not sure if it even counts since Crunchyroll takes too long updating there manga.

Funny that they're so similar. I originally thought the anime that started airing this season was going to be an adaptation of this story, only to find out there was another LN out there about the same thing :o

Alright, bulled my way through PunPun...
But I left an unread copy of My Brother's Husband at home as I go on vacation and it was already due back today. Probably just
let someone else have it and read something else in the meantime. 😓I have with me to read:

Reading Species Domain volume 1. This surprised me, I thought it was a slightly Yuri comedy series, but it's a straight Rom-Com with guys and gals.
Translation is ok, though there's a few spots that were a bit tough to get through (writer uses "premise" strangely to me). Story is fun though, a man of science impressing a girl who thinks it's equivalent to magic.

My Crunchyroll Manga app has copped a hiding. I can't remember all the completed series I've read, but in my favs atm (mostly currently updating stuff): UQ Holder, Sweetness & Lightning, ReLife (update already, the scans are like 50 chapters ahead!), A Silent Voice (planning to reread after seeing the movie earlier in the year), Momokuri, Princess Jellyfish, Bokura was Minna Kawaisou, The Seven Deadly Sins, & finally, Kiss Him, Not Me.
Have a Weekly Shonen Jump sub too, mostly for My Hero Academia, but I also love We Never Learn, plus I read a few of the free series in the app like the MHA spin off Vigilantes, Astra Lost in Space, elDLIVE, and I had binged what was available of Twin Star Exorcists before it seemed to have disappeared (they seem to do limited time unlocking things like here has done the last few months).
I own all the physical volumes of Interview with Monster Girls, won vols 1-3 in a Crunchyroll FB contest so have been buying the rest from Book Depository as they come out.
Probably following three times that many series in scans, though trying to wean myself off pirate stuff and only read new legit stuff.

I feel like ReLife got ripped off every which way. I mean the mob that made it & Crunchyroll ruined the anime by doing a Netflix style full season dump so those that binged it, whether inside Japan or out, had forgotten about it by the end of the season unless they totally loved it, then there's their no updates in over a year on the CR manga side I've already mentioned. I wonder if part of it was because it was a web-manga? Web novels to light novels seem to do okay because of all the revision and addition of art, but with a web manga a physical tankobon is going to be pretty much what was already on the web for free. What's the incentive to buy it, therefore the incentive to print it?
For Sweetness & Lightning what's been published on Crunchyroll Manga is more than enough for a second season, I'd have to check the last ep of the anime & look through the manga again to know where to read from, but off the top of my head it'd be about a third the way in.
For Interviews with Monster Girls I'm pretty sure the anime ended part way through Volume 4 (with that weirdo scientist where they're trying to figure out how a dullihan's neck works on the inside), but the extra 13th ep/OVA (obligatory pool episode, actually on Crunchyroll unlike most OVAs) is in the middle of the 5th volume. That's a slow sailing ship right there, I'll admit I'm all for it though.

Nozaki-kun is an example of a web manga that gets a print run. I dunno, must be popular enough people want it physically; maybe ReLife isn't? The new season sounds like it's going to be a rushed episode count too (just some OVAs). =[

Which would you guys guess would be the better option if you only want to experience one: Watch the anime or read the manga?
I haven't participated with that one, but I think it'll be up my alley.

@terrence In my opinion, I felt the anime improved upon the manga so well, that you could skip the manga until the season ended. The music is some of the best I’ve heard in anime, and the visuals are absolutely stunning. MiA has been the first 10/10 in a long time for me. And although the ending wasn’t totally conclusive, it was very well done and satisfying. If you have any doubts, just check out the first episode. If you aren’t concinced after that, then nothing will.

With independent web comics (thinking Questionable Content or Dumbing of Age) people buy books because they know it is going straight to the artist. I assume ReLife had corporate backing for the physical release and anime to happen, so that'd make people feel a bit different about it - at least I know it would for me.

I got the latest Until Your Bones Rot manga in English, thinking it wrapped up at 3 volumes, but apparently there are six out in Japan. I'm not being strung along (someone let me know in a spoiler comment what volume, if any, Haruka [red haired] and the MC get together; I see she's on the latest volume cover). =/
Also picked up Ever 17's manga. Unfortunately, manga is a lot harder to machine translate than novels. Might need that JP dictionary for this one.

The cult favorite manga fan-scanlation reading site Batoto is sadly shutting down on the 25th after 7 years of service and paving the way on not being scum like [insert name of manga aggregate site here]. It's really sad to see them go considering all the other manga aggregate sites are run by scumbags out to turn a profit while lowering image quality and slapping watermarks all over the stuff they rip.

@aruseus493 RIP Batoto, they were the best ever, I'm really sad to see them go as I had been using their site ever since its inception, I just hope someone comes up with a true succesor for its vision, as pretty much every other agreggator are run by scumbags and money-grabbers.

A lot of Japanese language horror manga #1s free on Bookwalker JP got me to thinking...
Has there ever been a Death Game novel where the main two characters are cold and calculating players who take advantage of the idealists and scared players in the game? It seems like every Death Game story is about the "hero who wants everyone to live" and maybe there's a secret "girlfriend / boyfriend who was actually behind it all and pulling strings", but there's nobody up front about their intentions early on to the reader. A protagonist actually playing the game smartly and vindictively, realizing that he has a huge advantage since he can rationalize his actions for survival without much debate . Closest thing is maybe the pair in Future Diary, but even there, the protag remains nervous / scared and gets pulled along by the Yandere.
Another change of pace I wouldn't mind is the "you thought they were the main characters, but they lose at the end of volume 1, now you don't know who the main characters are!".
