      @Wellwisher

For another JNC title, Tearmoon Empire (see Exhibit A: Miabel).

I think there's a difference between "and then MC had a child" and the more direct mentions of physical relations that this topic seems to be the focus of.

(Also, probably a difference between MC having relations with other major (or at least named) characters and "MC visited a brothel" like in Death March.)

@stardf29 Agreed, having the plot point of "child that they had at some point travels back from the future" is very different from a story having a clear physical relationship between two characters. I think we need exclude any LN that only has the "and they had a child at some point in the future" element from this topic. Otherwise we stray away from the original point of this topic.

Not a JNC item (in fact I don’t think it has a US publisher at all yet), and the anime was lackluster at best, but Hachinan tte, Sore wa Nai Deshou! (“The 8th Son? Are you kidding me?”) is surprisingly full of intimate relations, to the point of his harem having a deliberate orgy with him in order to scare off a potential additional woman (who later becomes a mistress anyway). In fact, it also has one of the more surprisingly romantic relationships, with him going out of his way to treat another mistress (who is 12 years his senior despite his being 16 at the time - giving some strong “Are you okay with a slightly older girlfriend” vibes - and also his former sister in law) with loving attention and care.

            Or Ryoma in Wortinia War...

I'm not sure about Diablo from How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord. He runs right down the fine line between "Yeah, he did." and "No, he didn't."

Regardless, I'm going to agree with you that New Lifehitting the local brothel probably shouldn't count, nor should nameless side characters, like a nameless maid.

Now if want to go back and reread New Life + to see if the 90 YO reincarnated MC got frisky. I'm remembering there was a "Did he or didn't he?" scene between him and one of the girls. That debate got rather heated.

what I'm certain of (so far):

              • 3rd base/Lewinski'd with the covergirl of vol 11
              • gotten pretty frisky with the bunny/guildmaster
              • 2nd base(?) with Rem (in volume 1) and lot's of cuddling
              • whatever that was with our biscuit loving demon in the last episode
From what I can tell still hasn't consumated his marriages with either of his wives(?)
...but certainly 'physical' to some degree. So whether he 'did it' or not depends of defining what 'it' is

No, @Wellwisher mentioned it as the third item in the included list, though that list was long enough that it was hidden in a spoiler tag. It appears nobody chose to discuss the series beyond that, though.

I haven't read the series, so I can't speak to how much it does or does not count as a physical "relationship" for purposes of the OP's intent, rather than the titular context of it being more of a transaction.

@durask I'm not sure if it's forgetting as much as overlooking the "professional" in the room.

Basically when it comes to getting physical, there are several levels of depiction:

                      1. Nothing at all. Zip. Nada. Perfectly clean here folks.
                      2. They k-kiss. It was nice. They have babies in the future.
                      3. Heavy make out. Probably a reference to others doing it, but not our MC (yet?).
                      4. They did it. Probably. Not gonna say when. Alternatively, he went to some brothel.
                      5. Some foreplay and fade to black.
                      6. They do the do. Here's some graphic description. (aka the JK Haru)

the whole topic is spoilers but still

                        spoiler

one of the series I read on BT before -so might be edited differently/ or slightly different content (I don't know if BT translated the LN or the WN) but it was rather explicit

@Jon-Mitchell Huh. I read the JNC translation but gave up around v10 I think. Sill don't think it's enough to make me revisit lol, but if it ever comes back to catchup I might skim through (though it just did back in September so it'll probably be a while).

In my experience with Manga/LN/Anime (excluding hentai of course) the vast majority of the media that includes sex at all fall into one of these three. Even some of the lewder ones (like Monster Tame and If it's for my daughter...) really just say enough to let you know they are having sex and then skip over what happens.

Having spent most the year just reading LN, it was a bit of a culture shock to read a western novel where (spoiler for lewdness)

In the case of JK Haru you're talking fairly descriptive explicit scenes virtually every two pages.

@kurosov I see, but does JK Haru have any romantic relationships? I believe the intent of the title post was to discuss LNs that have romantic relationships with a physical component. Are the physical relationships in JK Haru purely transactional or is there some romance in places?

Tough to answer in much detail without spoilers so the most i can say is there are a couple of romantic interactions between the characters and the main character does show varying levels of interest in a few people she meets. As she works in a brothel however you can imagine that most of the scenes either aren't or are entirely one sided.

It's a very different read to other novels. It took me a while to get over the style difference to what i usually read but by the end i did want to read a proper continuation of the story rather than the collection of short stories that makes up the second book.

These six titles haven't been mentioned yet, I believe:

Dungeon Busters: Ezoe's and Akane's relationship gets very physical almost right away and they have plenty of sex as well.

Goblin Slayer: Dark fantasy with a setting where Goblin's reproduce by raping human and elf women, there's obviously a lot of sex happening. Or well, rape at least. The MC did sleep together on the same bed with two girls, but I'm pretty sure the MC is still a virgin though.

Der Werwolf: The Annals of Veight: I won't spoil with whom, but Veight makes a kid later on in the series.

The Death Mage Who Doesn't Want a Fourth Time: Van, considering his physical age, doesn't have any sex in the series (at least up to the point where the translations are now), but there's a bunch of women who want his child and I think Van has promised to make one with at least Basdia and maybe some others? Other than for Van though, there's plenty of sex happening between the Ghouls who have a very... free culture when it comes to sex due to their low chance of actually conceiving and giving birth to a living child. Orgies and changing partners happen pretty much every night. Van has also observed ghouls multiple times in the act while he was coming up with a solution to the problem ghouls have with reproductivity. There's also rape with Goblins, Kobolds and Orcs at one point in the story and there's a lot of children being born every now and then.

Black Summoner: Kelvin had sex with Efil right in the first volume, or at least, it was heavily implied that was the case.

Mixed Bathing in an Another Dimension: There hasn't been any sex exactly, but the MC, Touya, is in a fairly physical relationship with multiple girls and unlike most harem protagonists out there, Touya isn't neither a lucky lecher or an oblivious protagonist. With how mature the series is about lust and affection and how incredibly heartwarming it all manages to be, I feel Mixed Bathing deserves a mention as well.

Edit: Ah, Black Summoner was mentioned earlier as well, but I'll leave it in my reply.

@Amakaze Der Werewolf is on the list @Wellwisher has in the 4th reply to this thread. Top of the list actually. But some new additions to be sure, which is more than I'm coming up with right now.
