Interesting choice for Banner of the Stars 6 title:

Crest of the Stars I ("Teikoku no Ōjo"):
Tokyopop: "Princess of the Empire"
J-novel : "The Imperial Princess"

Banner of the Stars VI ("Teikoku no Raimei") :
fan translation: "Imperial Thunder"
J-novel : "Thunder of the Empire"

I can't speak to the specific logic behind this choice, as it never occurred to me to second-guess it (my understanding of Japanese is limited, but I do believe either would be essentially valid translations). Just my 2 cents, but I find "Imperial Thunder" unintentionally amusing because it's evocative of "Tropic Thunder." That movie has made "________ Thunder" inherently silly, and that wouldn't really fit the tone of volume 6. Like I said, that's just my opinion; I don't actually know.
