Someone know when the next volume of this series will begin to be translated?

@sanriel volume 6 doesn’t come out in japan until the 25th of this month.

So give it 2 weeks after the 25th at the earliest or if the translator has moved to a different project it could take longer. (That what happened with Occultic Nine)

There is always a small possibility they could do a simulation publication but only time will tell

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

Well vol. 5 started here 2 weeks before it was released in Japan so it's not impossible.

Even if they started translating, I don't think they can release until it's at least out in Japan.

It wasn't like they were publishing the full volume it was just a couple parts. I was just saying that it's possible to release a part before the volume is released in Japan.

Oh it was originally slated to be released in November or that's what Amazon showed at one point maybe they made an error or I misread when I looked. Hmm

Bear in mind that the translator also happens to be the Goblin Slayer translator for Yen Press, so he's quite occupied with projects. That, and there's always the rights to negotiate...

Is Goblin Slayer volume 5 even being translated at the moment? YP doesn't even have a release date scheduled as far as I know.

@aruseus493 Yeah, I thought I saw the notice for 5 (on the same schedule as Youjo Senki), but it's now gone. I guess it did not sell enough...what a pity. Kevin Steinbach is also the manga translator as well, and it's still ongoing.

Realist Hero translator listed as Sean McCann
Goblin Slayer translator listed as Kevin Steinbach

                            Are they the same person?

You would think with an anime announced they would keep with it.

Yen Press is all sorts of weird. Gotta remember that they delay No Game No Life so much that we only get one volume a year at this point.

@hansolo1300 Unlikely that the license holders allow a release of even a part of their work before it is availabel in their home market.

@saskir Volume 1 of Arifureta Zero was simultaneously published here and in Japan.

@paul-nebeling yeah but simultaneous publication is different from early access, it’s same day VS someone else gets it first and I agree the publisher wouldn’t like early distribution before japan.
