Listen to Me, Girls. I am your Father!

Papa no Iu Koto o Kikinasai!
19-year Segawa Yuuta was looking forward to start his new university life and go through a normal university life, making new friends, etc, etc. But suddenly, when the plane which his elder sister and brother-in-law were on went missing, he became the ‘father’ of his three young nieces! Now, his six-tatami mat apartment not just has to accommodate himself, but 14-year old Sora, 10-year old Miu, and 3-year old Hina. What will be the fate of Yuuta?
I have watched a bit of the anime and from what I have watched I really liked it. The Conflict of staying together as one family (no one wants to separate from their family) and the troubles of a single guardian in University having to take care of three other people is not something you really see that often in anime and LN. And going by another cover I have seen (Vol 16 cover), the characters actually grow up as well eg. the middle Schooler (girl with the blue band thing to the left) is now in high school uniform and the elementary schooler (Blonde girl with the red strips tieing her hair) in the middle schooler uniform

I saw the anime and the final OVA too, but I always wondered how the story actually went. There are also something like 4-5 manga adaptations from different points of views.
The series is complete with 18 volumes, like Outbreak Company.
Here's a LNDB link to see more details about it: http://lndb.info/light_novel/Papa_no_Iu_Koto_wo_Kikinasai! -
Sounds interesting. Will go watch the anime to see how it is.
-
@hyferzftw If you plan to read the LN I suggest you avoid watching the OVA (and the LNDB link above). It jumps way ahead in the story to the last volume of the LN to wrap things up. Or at least that's what I think after seeing the OVA and the cover of volume 18.

I really liked the anime, though I haven't seen the final OVA so I don't know what direction it goes in post-anime or how well it's done. Still, I certainly would like to see how things go so I'll give this an upvote.

I heard there is a Spinn-off LN of this called Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! After or Listen to me, girls. I am your father! After where the three girls are all grown up.

@drone205
I think that cover is quite a spoiler given the cover from volume 18, I would put it in a spoiler tag just in case?EDIT: Nevermind, I see you edited the cover with a link instead lol
-
I would also support this if it were to happen :-)

Is Super Dash Bunko negotiable?
-
This is one I gave up on reading a long time ago after the anime finished and no one ever picked it up. If it happens, it'd make so friggin' happy. Also, please pickup the author's previous series: Mayoi Neko Overrun
-
That would be a dream come ture, I want this novel so very very much.
-
@terabyte Its Sequel not the Spin Off
-
I want this novel to be translated. Will J Novel pick it up?
-
@ahoffmaster3954
Id say the chances are rather slim on this one.Though atleast this one had a real anime, and the OVAs that came out in 2013 give it pretty much the ending the last cover of the LN seems to reveal.
Back then anime was still its on thing, rather then just publicity for the LN in order to get people to buy it. The good old days.

I absolutely recommend this. You know, the Japanese RAW quality is not that good so what I need is translated e-book.
-
Please licence It.
-
My topic was locked xd
But damn tgat is 3 years. I really hope it will be licensed. I even could pay 50 pound for 1 volume each XD
I really want it to read the story. But damn 3 years is a lot 🥲 you never know. Could happen -
